The St Paul rodeo began in 1935 when eight local farmers and businessman took the baseball diamond and turned it into a short quarter mile track with bucking chutes and a roping chute. The rodeo has been a Fourth of July tradition in Oregon for over 80 years.
Come join us for a fun day of being introduced to Competitive Mounted Orienteering! Kathy is very graciously donating her expertise and time to help us gain a peek into this fun event!
There will be a 2 hour basic reading, navigating, etc.
Short lunch break
Then we saddle up and head out into the woods to navigate and find 4 plates!
What to bring: Your own lunch, drink and a horse. Yeehaw!
Kathy wants to provide us insight into this fun sport. You can ride as a team or individually and compete through the year if you desire.
Please do RSVP by June 30th to Kathy so she will have a head count. Currently, there is no limit to the number of riders, but as she gets an idea of how long the list may be, there may be a waitlist needed. So check in with her early!
You may also reach out to me, Kasey Omon, by text 360-561-3773 and I can get you in touch with Kathy also.
