Green River, Wyoming – Attending “Cops & Dobbers” Fundraiser for Fallen Officer, Nevada Krinkee @ Sweetwater County Events Complex - Main Grandstands

“Cops & Dobbers” is Sweetwater County’s way of giving back to a fallen officer from the Sheridan Police Department.

Sheridan Police Officer Sgt. Nevada Krinkee was killed in the line of duty on 2/13/24.  Sgt. Krinkee leaves behind a loving wife and family.

The Green River Police Department, Rock Springs Police Department, and the Sweetwater County’s Sheriff’s Office are hosting a night of Bingo, silent auction, and raffles.  All funds raised will be donated to Sgt. Krinkee family.

 

The Food Dude will be providing for purchase as well as drinks will be available.

“Bust a Nut” is a fundraiser event to benefit 5150 Rescue Farm. Come have drinks, listen to Heidi’s stories, hang out with friends, and look at some great art. Drinks will be served from a converted horse trailer. More details as she posts the latest on the event.

Purpose of the fundraiser: 5150 farm was surrendered a bunch of Guinea pigs that need to be neutered.

Heidi and 5150 Farms rescues animals of all types, like the pig that caused an uproar locally. All animals are cared for and get vet treatments. Some will find their forever home on the farm and others are able to get adopted.

We can also hit up the Cantina for Mexican food and drinks after to keep the laughs going.

The Farm Fest & Plowing Competition is the largest plowing competition on the West Coast, with 20+ teams of draft horses and mules.

See demos and meet the teamsters. Join for a day of old-time farming fun at this year’s event with Pioneer Kids’ activities, tours of the museum and 1880’s Hutchcroft School, old-time music, food and more!

Admission is $8 for adults and free for kids under 12.

This event is put on by the Yamhill County Historical Society-Yamhill Valley Heritage Center.

At our last meeting, we talked about doing a pet supply drive and/or donations for the surrounding animal non-profit organizations.  I will put a supply list of items below. If you prefer that your donation items go to a specific rescue, let me know. My plan was to collect items for Friends of Yola’s but I am open to donating things to other organizations.
If you would like to make a monetary donation via paypal, please take a screenshot or email me your receipt so that I can add you to the roster. I have put together a list of non-profit rescues with their Paypal info. I would like to collect items by May 5th.

Our chapter is helping with Rodeo parking on Saturday, August 31 and Sunday, September 1st.
This is a fundraiser for our chapter!
We need a minimum of 6 people each day (on horse or on foot). This is a rain or shine commitment. If you commit to helping, please follow through.
You need to be ready to go by 9 AM each day. The rodeo gates open at noon and the show starts at 1:30 both days.
Each participant will receive a ticket for entry to the rodeo and a ticket for lunch.
Please wear a 40SC shirt if you can. If you don’t have a 40SC shirt, a pink shirt will be fine.
We are also inviting our neighboring chapters to help.
Let’s go have some cowgirl fun and get those cars parked!

Thundering Hills Ranch & Rescue presents their first annual Spook Fest. Dress up your equine partner and participate in our costume contest. Take a peaceful ride down the trails or thru the hay fields. Then try out our spooky obstacle course. We will have hayrides and games for the kiddos and kid at heart. Cozy up by the bonfire with a cup of hot cocoa or coffee with all the fixins purchased from our cocoa/coffee bar or purchase a make your own s’more at our smores bar with several options to make the ultimate smore. Browse our silent auction items, purchase some homemade goodies, take part in some awesome raffles or just come to see all the pretty horses. All proceeds go to Thundering Hills Ranch & Rescue. No rental horses will be available. We do welcome all furry friends/family members, but they must remain on a leash and be on their best behavior.
