Join in the fun of instructed painting of your own “Gnome”. The $35 ticket includes: 2.5 hours of painting, a 16×20 stretched canvas to take home, your own easel to your on, paint, brushes, and aprons. Also included will help from the art instructor so you can go home loving your new art piece. Don’t forget get some great music. Food and drinks available at your own expense.

Come join us for a meet and greet! Shep’s has a great atmosphere. The weather should be perfect to eat out on the patio. Lots of good options here, the hamburgers definitely do not disappoint! We can always stay after the meal and play some pool!
Attending Wyoming’s Wild Horses- Join us for this illustrated talk on wild horses, their history, impact and significance. Free and open to the public – starts at 6:30 PM at the Pioneer Museum in Lander. Part of the Wyoming Community Bank Speaker Series
IF you have never seen old-time plowing down with horses or mules, OR even if you have, you DON’T want to miss this:
The Farm Fest & Plowing Competition is the largest plowing competition on the West Coast, with 20+ teams of draft horses and mules.
See demos and meet the teamsters. Join for a day of old-time farming fun at this year’s event with Pioneer Kids’ activities, tours of the museum and 1880’s Hutchcroft School, old-time music, food and more!
Admission is $8 for adults and free for kids under 12.
This event is put on by the Yamhill County Historical Society-Yamhill Valley Heritage Center.

Let’s cool off during the hottest month of the year! Give the horses a break. Swim, tube, and have lunch at cowgirl Donna Mayeur’s home in Seneca SC Lake Keowee. Bring your favorite dish, a towel, and bathing suit.
Social gathering, guests and public welcome. Music and adult beverages available. A great way to cool off after our weeks of unbearably hot weather, chat with our cowgirl sisters, and make plans for when/where our next trails rides will happen.

We are going to do something a little different……Today is the 1st day of Fall so we are going to say goodbye to summer and start the Fall season off right by having one last pool party at Cowgirl Kelly’s house. Meeting for the new Back Country Horseman Southern Highlands will be held in Fanklin this month at the Clarks Chapel Fire Station in the community meeting room. The meeting will start at 6:30 pm and last a couple of hours, so bring your own drinks and snacks, and note pad to take notes on important events to come. Also you can pay your dues at this meeting as well
