January – BackFire – If you don’t know how to play, we will teach you. It is really pretty easy, and fun!!
Come out with the Newberg Cowgirls for an evening of fun playing BINGO in Aurora, OR. BINGO is in support of the North Marion Community Library, read and ride program.

A bulletin board will be available to advertise your horses for sale, events, and equine services.

Come out and join in on the celebration at the VA Hospital in Big Spring. The new community center on the VA campus is done and we were invited to attend. All Cowgirls are welcome. Pink button down shirts please… Hats optional as we will be inside.
LET’S GO SUPPORT THE MOOSE LODGE AND PLAY SOME BINGO!
The lodge opens at 6:00 to claim your seats for Bingo. Bingo starts at 6:30- you DO NOT have to be a lodge member to play Bingo.
Food and beverages are also available for purchase.
The cost is $20 for 7 games of 9 cards each for straight Bingo.
During the break, they will run a 50/50 and do Queen of Hearts. Everyone can play the 50/50 but only members can play the Queen of Hearts.
You must play all first 7 games to play the Blackout at the end. The cost to play Blackout is $5 for 12 cards.

Volunteer Services for Hot Mess Horse and Animal Rescue – Cowgirls have been asked to assist with fencing and animal care. We are meeting at the rescue on Old Murphy Road. All materials are on site for the fence repair, which is needed to separate the horses from the cows, goats, and alpacas. Laura Thornton has offered to pay and declined payment since earning and fundraising for horse rescues is very difficult. We are honored to show cowgirl generosity and compassion to the owner and these deserving animals. We welcome cowgirls and their families to donate time and services to this amazing rescue in the heart of our community

This is a benefit for Carly and Ben Hautala. Cade pass away on January 21, 2024. We will do a Silent Auction, Dollar Raffles and a food truck. We will begin playing Xtreme Music Bingo starting at 7 PM. Cost of the boards are $10.00 for your 1st and $5.00 for any additional boards per category. Categories will be determined soon. Calling all Cowgirls, We are bringing our horses to the VA hospital for some outside therapy for our favorite group of veterans. If you are interested, please only bring a CALM horse… The horses will be groomed, walked out and loved on, no riding. ALL Cowgirls are encouraged to join us, especially if you are not bringing a horse, we need hands on the ground.. Please wear pink button downs, hats optional…We will park in the back west end parking lot…

Join the cowgirls and area law enforcement agencies for a night of bingo, games, raffles and fun, honoring Fallen Officer Nevada Krinkee. This is a fundraiser for this young officer’s family. Bingo cards are $10 each. Event will be on Thursday, March 21, 2024. Doors open at 6 pm. Please see flyer for further details.

First annual Polk County, 4H summer horse tax sale
advisory committee and fundraisers to support the Polk county for equestrian
If anyone is interested in volunteering for western heritage day at Hardin-Simmons, they are looking for people to show kids how to rope (like 1st graders). In the past HSU students who don’t know how to rope have helped but they’d love to have “real cowgirls/boys” come to show how it’s done.
It is Thursday April 25th 8 am- noon. Over 2000 kids are already signed up.
Other western things to show the kids are also open for suggestion. The six white horses will have a farrier working on them for one of the stations.

June 9th- taco lunch beginning at noon. $10 adult plate $5 child plate. Music Bingo at 2 pm. $10 first card $5 each additional. Both events will have cool prizes and raffles.

Come join the Newberg Chapter, we will be volunteering for this amazing event. Volunteers will receive Rascal Rodeo T-shirts for the event, we should all wear 40SC hats or ?? to represent ourselves as 40SC!!
