Equine Health & Emergency First Aid
Our most comprehensive, and popular, course! Join us for a one day course covering: what your vet needs to know, conditioning a horse to accept treatment, taking vital signs, dealing with lacerations, punctures, colic, choke, collapse, casting, shock, hoof issues, recognizing pain in the horse and pain source identification, injury prevention and so much more! All attendees receive a certificate of completion and first aid manual.

Lone Star Equine Solutions will be doing a private De-Spooking clinics just for 40SC. Limited spots available.
This clinic will cover horse physiology and psychology. Class time learning the physical attributes of the horse relating to equine vision. Mounted obstacles and sensory training with fire lines, smoke, canisters, gunfire, and more.
Cost: $100 or $115 if the clinic is relocated to a covered arena due to inclement weather. 8 hour day with lunch provided. $25 non-refundable deposit due at registration.
This clinic will be at your own pace and open to all skill levels and disciplines. You can walk your horse if you prefer.

Bring Neg. coggins and bring a friend. great way to knock the dust off the saddle & leg up that horse or just sit and watch – go at your own speed no pressure no rush .

Come out and watch our very own Rock Springs Grizzlies Hockey team play on their home ice. Game will be on Friday, February 2, 2024 at 7 pm a the Rock Springs Family Rec Center Ice Arena, 3900 Sweetwater Drive, Rock Springs WY 82901. Tickets are $10 each. If you go take a selfie and send to Susan to get on the roster.

The lodge opens at 6:00 to claim your seats for Bingo. Bingo starts at 6:30- you DO NOT have to be a lodge member to play Bingo.
Food and beverages are also available for purchase.
The cost is $20 for 7 games of 9 cards each for straight Bingo.
During the break, they will run a 50/50 and do Queen of Hearts. Everyone can play the 50/50 but only members can play the Queen of Hearts.
You must play all first 7 games to play the Blackout at the end. The cost to play Blackout is $5 for 12 cards.

CSSHA holds Sunday afternoon practices with cattle twice a month at Lander’s LOTRA indoor arena this winter. Take advantage of practicing with cattle and a CowTrac flag for herdwork and cow horse experience from 1:00-4:00 Sunday afternoons on the Sundays listed below. (Sorry, but no roping.) If you are a member of LOTRA and CSSHA, the practice is free. If you are not a member of the LOTRA arena, it’s only $30 per person for all afternoon! (No practice if it’s zero degrees or lower on that day!) Annual LOTRA arena memberships are available at https://lotra.org.

Grab your branding iron and come on over to Shaner Farm.
Duane Poole, the branding man, will be there to place the brands. Branded horses are less likely to be stolen, plus it looks cool!
Must reserve and pay in advance, deadline is Feb. 9. Contact Joelle directly to be on the list and pay.
Come help gather the cows at Mildred Kanipe Park. Sam Campbell will be there to help organize the gather. Boots in the stirrup at 10am, so arrive early to tack up and warm up your horse if needed. A trail ride after for those that would like to participate.
