FULL PARADE ATTIRE!!!!!!
Please have your 40SC pink blouse, 40SC black jacket, black felt hat or helmet, fuchsia wild rag, blue jeans. Horse needs 40SC black saddle pad, pink polo wraps. Depending on weather you can layer under parade attire. Gloves to be handed out at parade if they are to be used.
Please have your waivered filled out and either back to your Queen or mail them to FWSSR. I have placed the link below for you. They are due by Nov 30th, NO fax or email entries will be excepted. More information as it comes to us will be posted!
- All parade participants must review and sign a Participant Release Form. Release Forms must accompany the organization’s application at time of submission.
- Participants must carefully read and abide by all Parade rules.
- Health Papers: All horses and other equine are required to have proper health papers to participate in the parade or enter staging area. Riders must be in possession of health papers at all times. See ” Official Health Requirements” as provided in the application information for mandatory health requirements on horses and other equine.

Parade starts at 11:oo am. Plan accordingly. Pink button down, pink scarf, black 40something jacket ,black felt hat black saddle pad, jeans and boots.
After the parade we will meet up for lunch at Mi Cocina before heading back home. Lots of room for parking trailers. Please let us know if you are going to join us so that we can give them a headcount ahead of time. Deadline to RSVP is Wednesday , January 10.

Equine Health & Emergency First Aid
Our most comprehensive, and popular, course! Join us for a one day course covering: what your vet needs to know, conditioning a horse to accept treatment, taking vital signs, dealing with lacerations, punctures, colic, choke, collapse, casting, shock, hoof issues, recognizing pain in the horse and pain source identification, injury prevention and so much more! All attendees receive a certificate of completion and first aid manual.

Advanced Emergency First Aid/ Wilderness Edition or Indoor Edition
Join us for a one day advanced equine emergency first aid course and learn what to do in the most extreme situations! Covering everything from lacerations to poison, burns to bites, fractures to sucking chest wounds, this course prepares the student to handle the most serious injuries while waiting for the vet. We will also cover horse assessment, conformation, and conditioning for activities. $159.00
If you take this course in combination with “Equine Health & Emergency First Aid” , the discounted package price is $295 for both courses.

Lone Star Equine Solutions will be doing a private De-Spooking clinics just for 40SC. Limited spots available.
This clinic will cover horse physiology and psychology. Class time learning the physical attributes of the horse relating to equine vision. Mounted obstacles and sensory training with fire lines, smoke, canisters, gunfire, and more.
Cost: $100 or $115 if the clinic is relocated to a covered arena due to inclement weather. 8 hour day with lunch provided. $25 non-refundable deposit due at registration.
This clinic will be at your own pace and open to all skill levels and disciplines. You can walk your horse if you prefer.

The workshop is hands on demo. We make Rustic Sourdough Boule, Together and the instructor walks you through step by step. All participants take home some of the very active wild yeast sourdough starter. The instructor also will bring a variety of yummy wild yeast sourdough treats to enjoy.
Let’s get 2024 off to a start. This will be a lunch/meeting gathering. Discussion will be but not limited to: upcoming events, chapter slush fund, HQ updates, and much more. Mark your calendars for this fun-filled learning day at the Stock Market in Conyers. 4 classes with the experts – free lunch- prize drawings all day and a free bag of feed to the first 50 people to register! Need to hurry as the slots will fill up fast!
Enjoy a traditional Mardi Gras Parade continued with a chicken run and a grease pig chase.
Howard Venable road and surrounding roads will be closed from 6 am to 4 pm so arrive early. There will be parking at the Vcross ranch, we will shuttle to the Prince ranch.
Eddie Rodriguez will make a special visit to work with attendees. He will be playing with the horses and their riders for a fun and educational experience
If you haven’t joined us for dinner and a meeting to hear what all we have going on come join us at Charlie’s Old Fashioned Burgers in Royse City. We have such a wonderful group of cowgirls and have so many fun things coming up you won’t wanna miss it! Cowgirl Jennie Vayo is setting up an opportunity for you to participate in a Night Ride Obstacle Clinic at Legacy Ranch in Lone Oak. This Clinic will be offered by Hunt County Sheriff’s Posse, under the direction of David and Terry Rogers. It is limited to ten (10) riders, so sign-up quickly. If weather is prohibitive, it will be rescheduled. Come on out… new opportunity, new experience!!
