Lone Star Equine Solutions will be doing a private De-Spooking clinics just for 40SC. Limited spots available.
This clinic will cover horse physiology and psychology. Class time learning the physical attributes of the horse relating to equine vision. Mounted obstacles and sensory training with fire lines, smoke, canisters, gunfire, and more.
Cost: $100 or $115 if the clinic is relocated to a covered arena due to inclement weather. 8 hour day with lunch provided. $25 non-refundable deposit due at registration.
This clinic will be at your own pace and open to all skill levels and disciplines. You can walk your horse if you prefer.

This is a clinic ran by Matea Baabcock to help build your horse’s confidence and have fun. Learn the leadership skills needed to ger your horse crossing obstacles relaxed and willingly. You will find out how you as the rider can cultivate a strong focus and help de-spook your horse on all kinds of obstacles.
$500/rider for the weekend or $250/rider per day.
Early bird discount: Pay before February 1, 2024 and come for $400/rider for the weekend (non-refundable and non-transferable.)

Time to learn how to work some cows with Buck Brannanman! Let’s show him what TEXAS COWGIRLS are made of! Bring your trusty mount and work those cows!
Cost is $750 per rider with $350 deposit.
- Horsemanship #1 will be held March 15, 2024 9am – Noon (There will be NO CATTLE at this time slot)
- Horsemanship #2 will be held March 15, 2024 1:30pm – 4:30pm
- Vaquero Riding will be held March 16, 2024 9am – Noon (There will be NO CATTLE at this time slot)
- Ranch Work will be held March 16, 2024 1:30pm – 4:30pm
- Skills test will be held March 17, 2024 9am – noon (There will be NO CATTLE at this time slot)
- Cattle work will be held March 17, 2024 1:30pm – 4:30pm
Horsemanship #1 is for the green horse and/or rider that is comfortable in a snaffle bit and needs continued work. There will be NO CATTLE at this time slot.
Horsemanship #2 is for the horse and rider team that is learning to use the hackamore and beyond. This time slot involves CATTLE and ranch roping.
In vaquero riding we will learn basic movements of the vaquero riding that is appropriate for horses from first level snaffle to experienced bridle horses. Hackamore trained horses are welome! There will be NO CATTLE at this time slot.
Ranch work clinic will be learning how to work the cows efficiently and effectively. This time slot involves CATTLE.
Come out and show off your teamwork skills that you learned this weekend with your trusty steed! There will be NO CATTLE at this time slot.

Our monthly meeting that usually falls on today’s date will be scheduled for next week 🙂 Today, we will be heading out to Caliber Equine LLC in Quinlan for a tour and demonstration of a couple things they have to offer.

We will be participating in the Park Street 4th of July Parade again this year. Everyone come join us!!
We will meet up in the parking lot of the Family Fellowship Church parking lot to get ready. Bring all your patriotic decorations and decorate those horses up and wear your best patriotic outfit you can find!! Come early enough to be ready for lineup at 9:00 am parade starts at 10:00 am.
There are lots of things going on before and after the parade so look up North East Texas Community Events on Facebook and check out their flyer as to all that is going on. For instance: Park Street Baptist Church hosts a free pancake breakfast starting at 7:30 am with donations being much appreciated, Complimentary watermelon after the parade, ETC. At dusk it all moves over to the Greenville sports park with the Bottle Rocket Bash.
**PLEASE BE SURE TO BRING A BUCKET AND POOPER SCOOPER AND CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR HORSES** This is a must in order for us to be welcomed back and able to park in the church’s parking lot.
Join us for a meal at Cotton Patch Cafe after celebrating our wonderful country. Lots of fun will be had and great conversation!
This parade will take place on Saturday, July 6th. We will meet at the Lone Oak High School parking lot. There will be plenty of parking for trailers. Be there @12:30 to allow plenty of time to decorate horses and be ready for the parade which starts at 2:30.
Rider parade attire: Your best RED, WHITE, and BLUE attire.
Come join us for the parade and then we will head to Texas Roadhouse for a tall glass of sweet tea and a steak dinner.

Please contact Joelle to RESERVE your spot and time. Certified equine dental team Barbara Brooks and David Kelly will be performing teeth floating and sheath cleaning. Cost is $100 for Teeth/Sheath or if you just need Sheath it’s $30. Please bring CASH or CHECK for payment, as well as some extra cash for our Boot for our two charities! We are keeping this a MEMBERS only event, unless we can’t fill all our time slots. So if you have a friend that needs this service, let Joelle know so we can put them on our reserve list.
This event will be held at Donna and Tim Frye’s farm, plenty of parking, complete pull through. Use 2455 Charlotte Hwy., York, SC in your GPS. When you arrive, use the entrance to the pasture with the gate. Do NOT go down the private drive to the home.

Staci and her husband, Hud, has offered a day of saddle fitting. Hud will go over general fit information for everyone and take questions. You may bring a horse for fitting, with either their stock (Purchase is not required or expected. They are doing this for informational/teaching purposes not sales) or you may get advice on a concern with the fit of your current saddle. Hud can work with individuals after the main presentation. If you plan to bring a horse, please let Staci know in advance so that they will know how many to expect. There is limited parking so maybe even plan to carpool if you can.
