IT’S THAT TIME AGAIN!!!!
We are so excited to head out for our retreat at Train Robber Ranch for the 3rd year in a row!! Wonderful time had for all!
Once we get closer to the date we will figure out a place to meet and caravan for those who want to. Otherwise, we will meet you all down there.
This is a private retreat with limited spots available so let us know if you are interested in joining us. We will be leaving on Thursday, April 11th to head down there and coming back on that Sunday. The cost will be divided between everyone who signs up to go.
We always plan meals for dinner so that everyone can pitch in and bring something. We will plan this as we get closer as well.

This will be our largest Retreat since formation! Our fledgling Chapter has taken off and grown rapidly in the last year. We are looking forward to celebrating that accomplishment and getting to know each other better in the best environment we have to offer. Watch for our report and pictures!!

Let’s cool off during the hottest month of the year! Give the horses a break. Swim, tube, and have lunch at cowgirl Donna Mayeur’s home in Seneca SC Lake Keowee. Bring your favorite dish, a towel, and bathing suit.
Social gathering, guests and public welcome. Music and adult beverages available. A great way to cool off after our weeks of unbearably hot weather, chat with our cowgirl sisters, and make plans for when/where our next trails rides will happen.

We are going to do something a little different……Today is the 1st day of Fall so we are going to say goodbye to summer and start the Fall season off right by having one last pool party at Cowgirl Kelly’s house. Meeting for the new Back Country Horseman Southern Highlands will be held in Fanklin this month at the Clarks Chapel Fire Station in the community meeting room. The meeting will start at 6:30 pm and last a couple of hours, so bring your own drinks and snacks, and note pad to take notes on important events to come. Also you can pay your dues at this meeting as well

We will be invading the Lazy TK for the weekend for our chapter retreat.. This is an exclusive chapter event…
Come join us for an evening full of fun, laughter, and planning of future events. Cedar Hollow Winery is a very welcoming place for a gathering with great food and tasty wine along with the most amazing employees who make you feel at home.
Bring your ideas to the table for fun things to do with or without our horses. We need to plan our Christmas party, for that will be upon us soon!!

Please bring proof of a negative Coggins prior to off-loading horse on ranch property. Check in will be @ 2pm on Saturday 26 Oct 2024, check out will be @ 2pm on Sunday 27 Oct 2024. Primitive camping only. You may bring a generator and panels. Lori will assign meal items to bring for supper on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday.
Need/Want a stall for your horse? Please contact Terrie Eldred@ 325-636-7974. Stalls are self-clean and cost is $10. Please let Terrie know if you are bringing a very tall and/or large RV/LQ trailer.
