Attending the 2024 Red Desert Humane Society’s Pampurr Yourself Purse and Jewelry Auction. Saturday, January 27, 2024 at the Holiday Inn Ballroom on Sunset Blvd. Rock Springs WY. Tickets are $50 each. Starts at 4:30 pm.
Let’s get our ride on at Jen’s. We will meet at no0n, bring something to eat or snack on and something to drink. There are oil field roads and some could be rocky. If your horse is barefoot, you will probably want boots for your pony. The terrain is mostly sand except the roads. Wonder what kind of critters we might see?m
Join us for Amy Weber’s Birthday and tackle the Hot Chocolate Run at Fair Park in Dallas!! Amy has completed this a couple of times and has good advice. Sign up early and take advantage of early sign-up Discounts… by December 3rd for best discount!! If you do not want to participate, you can come, shop at the Vendor Expo, and cheer others at the Finish Line. You should also know, parking is very crowded. Get there early and be prepared. Cowgirls, this is a local opportunity to hear a great “Author, Humorist & Playwright”, Michael Johnson. Michael lives in our own Campbell, TX. I had the opportunity to hear him at a Lazy TK Ranch event in Breckenridge a couple of years ago. Such a fun Cowboy gentlemen with stories to tell. Tickets are free to the public, with donations appreciated! Plan your calendar and save this evening! Please plan to wear your 40SC Gear and make a showing… and fork up those donations! It will be good for the Theatre and great for Michael’s fans!
Trail Boss, Linda Deas, has organized another weekend for Trail Riding. Plan will be to ride out each morning at 10:30am. This site has pens, electric and water. “Cops & Dobbers” is Sweetwater County’s way of giving back to a fallen officer from the Sheridan Police Department.
Sheridan Police Officer Sgt. Nevada Krinkee was killed in the line of duty on 2/13/24. Sgt. Krinkee leaves behind a loving wife and family.
The Green River Police Department, Rock Springs Police Department, and the Sweetwater County’s Sheriff’s Office are hosting a night of Bingo, silent auction, and raffles. All funds raised will be donated to Sgt. Krinkee family.
The Food Dude will be providing for purchase as well as drinks will be available.
The 23rd Annual Northwest Horse Fair & Expo will be held at the Linn Co. Fair & Expo Center in Albany, OR March 22-24, 2023.
The event is a three-day horse fair and exposition, attracting horse owners and enthusiasts from Oregon and the surrounding states and Canada. Each day of the expo will be packed with sights and sounds of the horse world: featuring world-renowned clinicians, various breed demonstrations, stallion review, equine related shopping booths and much more!
The cowgirl annual bake sale to raise money for our t-shirt sale for Autism Awareness. There will be lots of goodies and maybe even a few non food items. Come out and support us, supporting a special cause.
Jump on your horse or mule and have some fun while also helping to maintain the trails at Big Mineral. Bring some loppers and a snack. Big Mineral is a pretty rugged ride with some fairly steep hills. Its not rocky though and your steed can go barefoot. Also, theres no fee to ride there.
“Bust a Nut” is a fundraiser event to benefit 5150 Rescue Farm. Come have drinks, listen to Heidi’s stories, hang out with friends, and look at some great art. Drinks will be served from a converted horse trailer. More details as she posts the latest on the event.
Purpose of the fundraiser: 5150 farm was surrendered a bunch of Guinea pigs that need to be neutered.
Heidi and 5150 Farms rescues animals of all types, like the pig that caused an uproar locally. All animals are cared for and get vet treatments. Some will find their forever home on the farm and others are able to get adopted.
We can also hit up the Cantina for Mexican food and drinks after to keep the laughs going.

International Day celebrates the diverse heritage of Rock Springs each July. Known as the “Home of 56 Nationalities,” different cultures are celebrated all day through food, exhibits, costumes and live entertainment. It is the only ethnic festival of its kind in Wyoming, so you won’t want to miss it! This year’s annual festival features a wide range of local, regional, and international entertainment, activities for kids, exotic foods and unique vendor items. Performers from various parts of the world provide a smorgasbord of music and dance entertainment throughout the day. Food, drinks, music, arts, crafts and more all with free admission! Bring your digital camera or smart phone and find the top surveyed answers to questions to chose from along the trail. Compete as an individual.
Riders out at 9-11 am. Riders will leave in intervals and Ride route is 2 -2 1/2 hours long. Finish by 2pm. Intervals intended to control congestion on the trails.
Riders must return to later than 2pm to turn in their results. Prizes awarded after 2pm.
Bring your lunch; lemonade, water and treats provided.
Shoes for horses are recommended. Children are encouraged to wear helmets and dogs must be on a leash.
Entry Fees: $30 per rider; under 12 years of age $10. cash or check. Day use park parking fee is $5; or purchase an annual permit. *Join OET at this event with the purchase of a single or family membership and recieve one free entry to this event. (Memberships will include 2025; annual memberships are: single $30, family $35).
Prizes Awarded: For individuals with the most points awarded in the Survey, for First, Second, and Third Place. Judges decisions are final. There will also be raffle prizes. Each entrant receives a raffle ticket for this drawing.

We will be participating, again, in the 2nd Annual Horse EXPO at Longhorn Arena in Greenville, TX. This Expo event will include Horse Products Vendors, Sale Horse Alley, Food Vendors, Demonstrations, New & Used Tack, Stallion Exhibits, and Horse Health. Farmersville will have a booth and represent 40 Something Cowgirls!! We will also attend and participate in EXPO Demonstrations. The 2023 1st Annual EXPO was a huge success for our Chapter!!
