Cowgirl Jennie Vayo is setting up an opportunity for you to participate in a Night Ride Obstacle Clinic at Legacy Ranch in Lone Oak. This Clinic will be offered by Hunt County Sheriff’s Posse, under the direction of David and Terry Rogers. It is limited to ten (10) riders, so sign-up quickly. If weather is prohibitive, it will be rescheduled. Come on out… new opportunity, new experience!!
Since we are all trying to save some $$s for one reason or another, Maria and Whispering Oaks Farm & Ranch have offered to Host a barn “Watch Party” for The American Performance Horseman. (The Globe Life tickets with any decent view are high, and their refreshments are as well.) This competition will be aired by Fox Sports 1, so check your local listings.
The greats will be in class competitions, including but not limited to, Casey Deary, Cade McCutcheon, Sarah Dawson, Andrea Fappani, Corey Cushing and Jason Vanlandingham!! There are 5 designated Teams of 3 each competing, so this will take a while. In the meantime, so much fun to be had!! Contact Maria or me for details. Bring your favorite chairs and dress as needed for the barn and weather!!

Come join us May 10th and 11th at Connors State College’s Fred Williams Arena in Warner, OK, for their First Annual OAQHA VRH Show!!! Fun & educational experience. Registration ends July 12th. Entry fee is $10.00/horse + $3.00/class. Complete registration form on 4H.ZSUITE.ORG. Youth must be 8+ years, registered, and in good standing with Uinta County 4-H. Youth must have passed safety certification with each horse prior to the show.

This is one date of an Annual, multiple date Buckle Show Series (12 show dates in 2024) with 9 Divisions and 7 Classes. Classes include Ranch Halter, Ranch Rail, Ranch Pleasure, Ranch Reining, Ranch Riding, Ranch Trail, and Mechanical Cow-work. Must compete in at least 6 of the total 12 shows to qualify for Year-End Placings! $100 Flat Fee per Division. Join us to watch 40SC Cowgirls compete or just come to observe and learn.
Queen Contest is judged based on horsemanship, personality, and impromptu questions. Age Divisions: Princess 6-9 years. Jr. Queen 10-13 years. Queen 14-18 years. Call or text Staci Powell (307-780-7812). Entries July 6-10.

Watch it with us… the 2024 RUN FOR A MILLION!!! Bring a chair and BYOB and your significant other… whatever makes you happy and settle back for a fun evening to watch the big screen telecast of this event under A/C! Jennie’s husband, JP, will be smoking a brisket for us. So, again bring sides or appetizers that you feel will work well together!? As our interest grows and our Chapter Members develop their Ranch Competition skills, we will continue to participate in this great East Texas Stock Horse association!!
