Join us and other Texas Chapters for the FWSSR Parade.

FULL PARADE ATTIRE!!!!!!

Please have your 40SC pink blouse, 40SC black jacket, black felt hat or helmet, fuchsia wild rag,  blue jeans. Horse needs 40SC black saddle pad, pink polo wraps. Depending on weather you can layer under parade attire. Gloves to be handed out at parade if they are to be used.

Please have your waivered filled out and either back to your Queen or mail them to FWSSR. I have placed the link below for you. They are due by Nov 30th, NO fax or email entries will be excepted. More information as it comes to us will be posted!

  • All parade participants must review and sign a Participant Release Form. Release Forms must accompany the organization’s application at time of submission.
  • Participants must carefully read and abide by all Parade rules.
  • Health Papers: All horses and other equine are required to have proper health papers to participate in the parade or enter staging area. Riders must be in possession of health papers at all times. See ” Official Health Requirements” as provided in the application information for mandatory health requirements on horses and other equine.

Chris Wickliffe, DVM, will explain the importance of being prepared and safe during your horse shows, and how to ensure a good experience for both rider and horse.

  • Precautions you can take to avoid injury to your horse with travel and exercise
  • A mental check list of all things you should be checking and preparing before travel

The Polk County Master Gardener Association Plant Sale is coming up Friday, May 10th 9:00 to 4:00 and Saturday, May 11th, 9:00 t0 2:00.

Cheers to the returning Country Store, beautiful annuals, trees and shrubs, perennials, herbs, hanging baskets and a few specialty plants.

They are adding a new children’s area this year where children will, for $1, be able to plant a Marigold in a colorful plastic pot for their mom and take home a small scoop of Marigold seeds to plant in their yard. This table will be staffed by members of one of their 4H Horticulture groups who will also have information on the 4H groups in Polk County to give to kids who come to the table.

They will also have 5 to 6 raffle items to be raffled off on Saturday at noon.

Please join us for a live summer music series at Into the Woods, Willamette’s RV park for the traveling wine enthusiast.
Relax in the woods while you sip on your favorite Willamette wines. Tasty dishes will be available for purchase from local food trucks.
Tickets are $25 per person or $15 for Owners and Club Members. Reservations include a glass of wine and a $10 wine credit. Guests staying at Into the Woods during the Summer Music Series events will receive complimentary admission.
Into the Woods is adjacent to our Estate in the Salem Hills. Parking for this event is at our gravel lot by the main entrance gate on Enchanted Way. You’ll walk to the event from there; please wear comfortable shoes for walking.

Come enjoy an Amazing Clinic with Patrick Sullivan of Gamilah Unbridled & Modern-Day Horsemanship

Each day, participants will receive 2 one on one sessions with their horse.  Due to the individualized teaching, they welcome participants of all skill levels.  Their niche is liberty and bridleless riding, but participants are welcome to use their sessions as they’d like.

This clinic will end with liberty games Sunday Afternoon!

Cost: Participants $675 for 3 days, Auditors $35 per day.
