The YWCA Victims Advocacy Center is hosting their 1st Annual Heroes and Heels event in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness month. The event will take place on September 28th at Bunning Hall Freight Station from 6pm-10pm and will feature local heroes.

Join us for our 3rd Annual trip to the Cattleman’s Classic @ Ribeye Roundup! Great fun to watch the Cook-Off and great food to enjoy after! Meet us on the square and we will have a group seating area to enjoy the festivities! Price per Ticket has dropped from $35 to $20 with a new format. You will now be able to select samples from preferred Cooks!!
Proceeds of the event will benefit to NETBIO – The Northeast Texas Beef Improvement Organization (NETBIO) is a group of independent cow/calf producers and agribusiness representatives working together to enhance the beef industry in Northeast Texas. NETBIO works in conjunction with the Texas A&M- Commerce and the AgriLife Office in Sulphur Springs.

Join us at Leatherman Lane to celebrate horses and help raise money to battle Breast Cancer. Annual event that features various vendors, food, live music and of course horses. There is a planned trail ride!!!!One of our charities we support Cleveland County Hearts and Hooves, will be there to highlight there important work with our awesome participants from North Shelby School, Shelby, NC. Thundering Hills Ranch & Rescue presents their first annual Spook Fest. Dress up your equine partner and participate in our costume contest. Take a peaceful ride down the trails or thru the hay fields. Then try out our spooky obstacle course. We will have hayrides and games for the kiddos and kid at heart. Cozy up by the bonfire with a cup of hot cocoa or coffee with all the fixins purchased from our cocoa/coffee bar or purchase a make your own s’more at our smores bar with several options to make the ultimate smore. Browse our silent auction items, purchase some homemade goodies, take part in some awesome raffles or just come to see all the pretty horses. All proceeds go to Thundering Hills Ranch & Rescue. No rental horses will be available. We do welcome all furry friends/family members, but they must remain on a leash and be on their best behavior. Last I heard, Brandi was looking for volunteers and items for the Silent Auction. If anybody has anything to donate or goodies to bring, or a specific area you wanted to volunteer at, maybe we could volunteer as a chapter – serving hot cocoa, helping with games, etc. Let’s discuss it at our roundup meeting on Aug 27th and then notify Brandi once we come up with a group plan or individually! We love the stock show and Rodeo, we practically live there! If you go, take a selfie and we will add you to the roster. Specifically, we will do the following events:
Grand Entry 1/Go Pink night -be at trailer parking by 5:30 traditional parade attire
Grand Entry 1/TCU Night purple shirts, black 40SC vest
Grand Entry 1/Rutledge at 11 am performance arrive by 9:00 with long sleeve white shirt, black vest.
Grand Entry 1/Military Appreciation night- black vest and white shirt- we will provide red bandannas

***GE walkover with police escort is 1 hour prior to performance
*** all performances need pink wraps on front legs and pink wild rag unless otherwise stated.
All long sleeve shirts must be button ups. Arena attire!

you must have a physical copy of both your coggins and a health certificate to get your horse on the FWSSR grounds. No exceptions. They will not accept a coggins from your phone.
