Here’s some answers to some common questions that may be asked:

Q. I’d like to come, can you put my name down?
A. I would love to, I can only hold you a spot with payment received. We are only taking 20 entries per age group. They are selling fast. PLEASE Pre Pay. https://venmo.com/Rochelle-Rondy
This will also help us have payback, prizes, and cattle numbers figured out ahead of time
Q. May I enter more than 1 horse?
A. We will allow more than one horse per rider. You have to ride the same horse for all 4 events.
Q. What time does it start?
A. 1 PM
Q. Are there refunds?
A. We will allow you to sell your paid spot. Just send us a text on the person’s name you sold it to. (Same age group is preferred)
Q. What is Speed Trail?
A. You will open a swinging gate, jump over a log, pull a rope tied to a log, run around a barrel, then out and shut the gate.
Q. I’ve never done this kind of thing before, can I compete?
A. Let’s do this together! We all support each other. Everyone that has called me has not done everyone of these events either.
Q.Will there be a dress code?
A. Boots are mandatory. We will be taking a lot of pictures, wear what you think looks best.
Q. Is sorting and penning one (1) woman?
A.Yes it is. For sorting -a number is called, you have to keep your good calf in that pen, sort as many wrong number cattle across the line as you can. If your good calf crosses the hole line, you are disqualified.
Penning- Number is called, you get that one number out, put it in a pen that is against the wall at the other end of the arena. 60 second time clock on each event.
Q. Are Coggins required?
A. Yes, All event participants at Cooke County Cowboy Church require a proof of coggins. If you have already shown them at an event there, you are good to go.
I hope this helps. Keep the questions coming. We love to hear from you. We are super excited to do something different. And GIRLS, you are going to LOVE the Western Themed prizes!
Enjoy your day!

Camp and Cinch Craft Weekend Clinic – DEPOSIT – Flying Horseshoe Ranch, WA – June, 8-9 2024

$100.00

Camp and Cinch Craft Weekend Clinic at the Flying Horseshoe Ranch

Cinch Clinic and Horse Camp Weekend  – $100 SEAT RESERVATION & DEPOSIT

Class Description:

Get ready to saddle up for an unforgettable weekend of equestrian enjoyment, craftsmanship, and outdoor camaraderie! Join us for a weekend retreat where you’ll spend your mornings crafting custom cinches and your afternoons exploring picturesque trails on horseback. It’s a perfect fusion of creativity, horsemanship, and the great outdoors.

Cinch Crafting Mornings – Start the day by channeling your inner artisan. We will guide you through the art of cinch making – from selecting materials to mastering design work. With our patient guidance, you’ll create a cinch that’s not only functional but also a reflection of your unique style. As you craft, you’ll bond with fellow enthusiasts, sharing stories and laughter as you weave and mold materials into a piece of equine art.

This basic cinch-making clinic covers a comprehensive range of topics, including:

  • Cinch Materials: Exploring natural versus synthetic options
  • Determining Cinch Size: Understanding how conformation affects cinch width and length
  • Knots to Know: Essential knot techniques
  • Cordage Length: Mastering the correct measurements
  • Building the Cinch: Step-by-step construction process
  • Details & Design Work: Adding personalized touches
  • After Build Care: Maintaining your cinch’s quality
  • Resources: Discovering where to find materials for future cinch-making projects

This introductory cinch class focuses primarily on straight cinches. The techniques you learn can be applied to create custom straight cinches, breast collars, belts, hat bands, key chains, and more. Mastering the skills required to make a straight cinch is a prerequisite for more advanced builds like roper and English-style cinches.

You’ll also take home all the tools needed to create a cinch – Loom – Instruction Booklet –  5-piece tool kit.

Not only will you have the opportunity to learn new skills and techniques, but you’ll also be able to connect with other creative individuals and share your experiences and ideas. Seats are limited, so secure your spot today!

Fees:

Class fee: $350. To reserve your spot, a $100 non-refundable deposit is required. The remaining class fee of $250 will be collected during clinic check-in.

In the unlikely event that WE cancel the clinic, all participants will receive a refund for their deposit. Please note that the fee does not include camping or meals.

Camping and horse stall fees will be handled by the Flying Horseshoe Ranch https://flyinghorseshoeranch.com/index.html

Jun 10 @ 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
This BEVERAGE BUCKET TABLE will make a great addition to your deck or patio this summer! This one has a beer theme, but you can use it for wine or other beverages, as well. 🍻🍷It’s also a great gift for that special dad for Father’s Day or perfect if you need to give a wedding gift soon!🎁
This project is 25 inches tall, 20 inches wide and 20 inches deep. The wood table will be made in advance and you can stain it as shown or paint it a different color. It features a heavy duty 4 1/2 gallon metal bucket, too! If you would like, you can choose one of the sayings shown to put on the bottom part of the table – it is $15 additional to do that. If you want the magnetic bottle opener, that is an additional $5. (Maximum cost of $95 if you would like it with a painted message and the beer opener, otherwise just $75 for the table painted/stained however you like with the bucket.)
This will be a fun class! Jessica Taylor will teach this class on Monday, June 10 at 6 pm. Fee will include all of your supplies, instruction, snacks, and drinks. You can choose from 30 different sayings for the bottom part. Just let me know what one you prefer from the photo.
Payment for this project is due by May 21st so we can have them ready for people wanting to do this for a Father’s Day gift. You can pay with cash, check or Venmo using the name @Allison-Volcic. For the memo, please put REIMBURSE FOR TABLE. Kits are also available for an additional five dollars due to the time and extra supplies needed for packaging. Hope to see you there!
