Our chapter is helping with Rodeo parking on Saturday, August 31 and Sunday, September 1st.
This is a fundraiser for our chapter!
We need a minimum of 6 people each day (on horse or on foot). This is a rain or shine commitment. If you commit to helping, please follow through.
You need to be ready to go by 9 AM each day. The rodeo gates open at noon and the show starts at 1:30 both days.
Each participant will receive a ticket for entry to the rodeo and a ticket for lunch.
Please wear a 40SC shirt if you can. If you don’t have a 40SC shirt, a pink shirt will be fine.
We are also inviting our neighboring chapters to help.
Let’s go have some cowgirl fun and get those cars parked!
West Texas Fair and Rodeo Parade is a great time to show up loud, proud and in style as 40 Something Cowgirls!
Line up is at 8:30. Parade start time is 10:30. The theme is How the West was Fun!
Deidra Scott is our point of contact. Current negative coggins is required.
Cowgirls will be serving up Hot Dogs and Drinks to the Atwoods patrons during the morning and through lunch!
Charity event/horse show to benefit Paws for Reflection Ranch! Music, venders, faire food, and PFRR riders showing their horses

Gordon County Saddle Club is once again hosting a St Jude’s Ride for Children. Event will run from 9:00 – 3:30. More details to come….Save the date! September 28th!

The YWCA Victims Advocacy Center is hosting their 1st Annual Heroes and Heels event in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness month. The event will take place on September 28th at Bunning Hall Freight Station from 6pm-10pm and will feature local heroes.

Join us at Leatherman Lane to celebrate horses and help raise money to battle Breast Cancer. Annual event that features various vendors, food, live music and of course horses. There is a planned trail ride!!!!One of our charities we support Cleveland County Hearts and Hooves, will be there to highlight there important work with our awesome participants from North Shelby School, Shelby, NC. Thundering Hills Ranch & Rescue presents their first annual Spook Fest. Dress up your equine partner and participate in our costume contest. Take a peaceful ride down the trails or thru the hay fields. Then try out our spooky obstacle course. We will have hayrides and games for the kiddos and kid at heart. Cozy up by the bonfire with a cup of hot cocoa or coffee with all the fixins purchased from our cocoa/coffee bar or purchase a make your own s’more at our smores bar with several options to make the ultimate smore. Browse our silent auction items, purchase some homemade goodies, take part in some awesome raffles or just come to see all the pretty horses. All proceeds go to Thundering Hills Ranch & Rescue. No rental horses will be available. We do welcome all furry friends/family members, but they must remain on a leash and be on their best behavior. Last I heard, Brandi was looking for volunteers and items for the Silent Auction. If anybody has anything to donate or goodies to bring, or a specific area you wanted to volunteer at, maybe we could volunteer as a chapter – serving hot cocoa, helping with games, etc. Let’s discuss it at our roundup meeting on Aug 27th and then notify Brandi once we come up with a group plan or individually! We are planning a Halloween Costume Parade Practice in the neighborhood of Whispering Oaks Farm & Ranch!! Our purpose is two-fold… to discuss Standard Parade Requirements, and to have some FUN while exposing all horses to parade activities!! After you turn from Hwy 1529, look for the 40SC Banner and turn right into the large Outdoor Arena entrance. Come early, be ready to ride out, and start our Parade Discussion by 10:00AM sharp. Then, we will ride out on Parade Route at 11:00AM. Please, no delays and lack of preparation. We want to see you in your best Costume and full attire! We are planning to have neighbors judge all entries!! WE WILL HAVE PRIZES!! And probably go afterward into Cooper for late lunch!?

Cowhand challenge!(sorting, penning, etc). All proceeds go to Rutledge Cancer Foundation! We will have a chuck wagon lunch available for purchase . This event is a benefit. Cowgirls only will have buckles to the winning team. The open division will have a payout. 4 man teams. Pre registration is encouraged and there will be a $50. The Fox Parade of Lights is a beautiful way to bring in the Christmas season! Join us as we light up our horses for a bright and festive parade!

Join us for our 3rd Annual Santa’s Country Christmas ride! Parking will be in the adjacent parking lot to the location. Please be saddled and ready to go by 6:30pm. There are exotic animals and loud music playing so please make sure your horse will tolerate it. There will be cars following us through the display.

Join us for the Wylie Christmas Parade! Let’s show our Christmas spirit and decorate our horses! We will be parking in the vacant grassy lot off of Birmingham st. We NEED designated manure scoopers for the parade. We also will need a volunteer to carry our chapter banner.
Join us for dinner after the Wylie Christmas Parade! It has been a tradition for 3yrs now to have tacos after the parade! There is parking at the back of the parking lot or in the Burger King parking lot next door.
Join us for the Farmersville Christmas Parade! Let’s show our Christmas spirit and decorate our horses! We will be parking in the administration building. We also will need a volunteer to carry our chapter banner.

Parade starts at 4 pm and a current coggins is require s to participate. We will be in white shirts, black 40SC vests, black hats and Kelly green bandanas!

We will be participating in the Park Street 4th of July Parade again this year. Everyone come join us!!
We will meet up in the parking lot of the Family Fellowship Church parking lot to get ready. Bring all your patriotic decorations and decorate those horses up and wear your best patriotic outfit you can find!! Come early enough to be ready for lineup at 9:00 am parade starts at 10:00 am.
There are lots of things going on before and after the parade so look up North East Texas Community Events on Facebook and check out their flyer as to all that is going on. For instance: Park Street Baptist Church hosts a free pancake breakfast starting at 7:30 am with donations being much appreciated, Complimentary watermelon after the parade, ETC. At dusk it all moves over to the Greenville sports park with the Bottle Rocket Bash.
**PLEASE BE SURE TO BRING A BUCKET AND POOPER SCOOPER AND CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR HORSES** This is a must in order for us to be welcomed back and able to park in the church’s parking lot.
This parade will take place on Saturday, July 6th. We will meet at the Lone Oak High School parking lot. There will be plenty of parking for trailers. Be there @12:30 to allow plenty of time to decorate horses and be ready for the parade which starts at 2:30.
Rider parade attire: Your best RED, WHITE, and BLUE attire.
Come join us for the parade and then we will head to Texas Roadhouse for a tall glass of sweet tea and a steak dinner.

Its that time of year again, its the North Texas State Fair & Rodeo. We will be participating in the parade on Saturday August 16th. We will park along Bryan street near First Denton Church at 7:30am. Parade line up is at 9am.

- Pink polo wraps/ boots
- Straw/ palm leaf hats
