Robbinsville Community Coggins clinic for Graham and surrounding counties. Dr. Jessica Scruggs, DVM will provide services. cowgirls will assistance horse owners and Dr. Jessica.  We provide all advertising, forms, chairs, canopies, and tables, and will assist with paperwork and handling of horses. Bring your big trailers for comfort and bathroom facilities.  This is another community volunteer project so I hope all you cowgirls can come. Trinity Trail Events founder Maral Eckenrod will conduct an instructional clinic on how to navigate the mountain trail obstacles at Flying M Stables, which were built by Mark Bolender of Bolender Horse Park.  If you trail ride or have thought of competing at a Novice, Intermediate, or Advanced Level of Equine Trail Sports events (ETS) or other obstacle challenges such as IMTCA events (International Mountain Trail Challenge Association), here is where you can start!  Maral will lead us through how to acclimate your horse to the obstacle, navigate it properly, and what judges are looking for.

Trinity Trail Events also conducts virtual challenges using just a few items (ground poles, tarp, cones, flag, spray bottle) that you may have at home.  You will receive the pattern and have a window of time to practice and video you and your horse navigating the obstacles, submit your video to Maral, who will judge it, provide comments if you want, and award prizes, including buckles. TTE has Novice, Intermediate, Advanced and Easy Peasy patterns to get you started in this field!

Depending on sign-ups for the clinic, the plan is for 2 hours of In-Hand instruction and practice and 2 hours of mounted instruction and practice.  If more than 12 horse/rider pairs sign-up, then it may be changed to 2 groups, with 1 hour each of In-Hand and Mounted work.

Cost: $60 per horse/rider pair, includes haul-in fee of $35 ;  $5 per auditor

Come prepared to answer the question, “What do you want to learn/work on?”  Jim wants to help you with your goals and that is why he does one hour one-on-one sessions.

A one hour session with your horse is $160.

If you chose not to bring a horse there is a $25 per day audit fee.  Clinic participants are welcome to audit all riders sessions at no additional charge.

Sessions start at 9am and go until 5pm, with a one hour lunch break from noon to 1pm.

Green River 40 Something Cowgirl, Kari Moneyhun, has teamed up with Sara Lowe of Sagebrush Training to offer a two-day confidence clinic focusing on ranch and trail obstacles.  These clinic are fun, encouraging, and full of laughter.  Sagebrush Sara works on building each rider up and strengthening your relationship with your horse.

Defensive Pistol 1 is the class to get you started in concealed carry
Working from the holster, we go thru presentation, sight picture, trigger press, and stance. The same as Basic Pistol, except now we are learning the difference between cover and concealment, different types of reloads, malfunction clearance, and shooting while moving, Class requires pistol, 2 Magazines at least, holster, magazine pouch, ear and eye protection, 250 rounds, snacks, and drinks. This year’s clinic will be held Friday through Sunday, August 9-11, 2024.

We will once again have 3 3-hour sessions per class (that’s 9 hours of work per class). The Groundwork class will be from 9am – 12pm each of the 3 days, and the Riding class will be from 1:30pm – 4:30pm each of the 3 days.

Bring your own lunch, plenty of water, and SUNSCREEN! We will likely be working a bit outside, weather permitting.

Each class (Groundwork or Riding) is $450.00 for all three days, or $800.00 total to do both classes.

We require a deposit of $225.00 requested to hold your space PER CLASS, or a $400.00 deposit if you are signing up for both.

There will be a daily fee of $10.00 per horse for stalls OR outdoor pens, and you will be required to provide shavings for your stalls (indoor only) as well as daily cleaning and end-of-clinic stripping of your stall, but as usual I will feed for you 2x/day with your own hay and grain/supplements, if desired.
