We coined the phrase “Tramping” several years ago and it stuck… for a scheduled Trail and Camping Event! Plans now to be made for your Trail Riding week(end) or just a Vacation week(end). Linda is very familiar with the area and all the amenities. Shopping, Horse Races, Dining & Wining, as well as primitive camping. Bring your LQ, RV or Toy-Hauler! Wells Performance Horsemanship and Whispering Oaks Farm & Ranch are opening up the above dates to offer mini clinics aiming to get out of the Texas sun!! Start is 6pm and running to 9pm… you can ride for 1 hour, 2 hours, or stay for all 3! Nathan will provide instruction on various topics including warm-up Drills, Transitions, Lead Changes, Trail Obstacles, and Ranch Classes for the Show pen and more. This will be in the lighted outdoor arena, or indoor if raining. Reach out to Nathan at (903)440-3630 to get signed up and let him know you are coming!
Sip, shop, and stroll while tasting margaritas in Historic Downtown McKinney!! A cup and a map will be issued for you to visit 15 tasting stops, plus 5 Bonus stops on your map. Each stop will have a variety of samples for you to try.

Bring a drink, a snack, a chair, and sit a spell to listen to a detailed introduction Short Course on the use and benefits of a Percussion Massage Gun. This course is offered publicly and hosted by Whole Horse Sports Conditioning LLC; many of you already know Brittany Jo and Roxie. I have one of these guns and I am anxious to learn more and correct ways to use it.

This is one date of an Annual, multiple date Buckle Show Series (12 show dates in 2024) with 9 Divisions and 7 Classes. Classes include Ranch Halter, Ranch Rail, Ranch Pleasure, Ranch Reining, Ranch Riding, Ranch Trail, and Mechanical Cow-work. Must compete in at least 6 of the total 12 shows to qualify for Year-End Placings! $100 Flat Fee per Division. Join us to watch 40SC Cowgirls compete or just come to observe and learn.

Watch it with us… the 2024 RUN FOR A MILLION!!! Bring a chair and BYOB and your significant other… whatever makes you happy and settle back for a fun evening to watch the big screen telecast of this event under A/C! Proceeds of the event will benefit to NETBIO – The Northeast Texas Beef Improvement Organization (NETBIO) is a group of independent cow/calf producers and agribusiness representatives working together to enhance the beef industry in Northeast Texas. NETBIO works in conjunction with the Texas A&M- Commerce and the AgriLife Office in Sulphur Springs.

This is a wonderful opportunity to visit the operations of Jason Martin and Charlie Cole at Highpoint Performance Horses in Pilot Point, TX. This is their 2024 Stallion Showcase and Open House. Come join the Cowgirls for a unique tour of their stallions, horses, and exotic animals. There will be other Vendors and Live Music… a fun time for all!!!

We are planning a Halloween Costume Parade Practice in the neighborhood of Whispering Oaks Farm & Ranch!! Our purpose is two-fold… to discuss Standard Parade Requirements, and to have some FUN while exposing all horses to parade activities!! After you turn from Hwy 1529, look for the 40SC Banner and turn right into the large Outdoor Arena entrance. Come early, be ready to ride out, and start our Parade Discussion by 10:00AM sharp. Then, we will ride out on Parade Route at 11:00AM. Please, no delays and lack of preparation. We want to see you in your best Costume and full attire! We are planning to have neighbors judge all entries!! WE WILL HAVE PRIZES!! And probably go afterward into Cooper for late lunch!?

We will be participating, again, in the 2nd Annual Horse EXPO at Longhorn Arena in Greenville, TX. This Expo event will include Horse Products Vendors, Sale Horse Alley, Food Vendors, Demonstrations, New & Used Tack, Stallion Exhibits, and Horse Health. Farmersville will have a booth and represent 40 Something Cowgirls!! We will also attend and participate in EXPO Demonstrations. The 2023 1st Annual EXPO was a huge success for our Chapter!! As our interest grows and our Chapter Members develop their Ranch Competition skills, we will continue to participate in this great East Texas Stock Horse association!! This Show Prep Clinic will be offered by Roxie Bernbaum of Hillside Performance Horses!! It will cover the basics of getting your horse, and you, ready to start showing. It will cover terminology, what the judges look for, important points for each class, etc. Q&A will be highly welcomed and supported. Clinic Audit will also be permitted at $25 per person. Per the TRCC information page, Mark your calendars!! The first Ranch competition at TRCC will take place this December 14th! Patterns to be posted approximately 2 weeks in advance. Prizes to be won by 1st place winners in each class and age group! Classes include W/T Ranch Trail, W/T Ranch Riding, and Open Ranch Riding. Divisions include Youth (18U), Adult (19-49), and 50+ !! And of course, a Negative Coggins Report is required.
