Finals in August. Pays 1st-3rd places. 20$ per run. Pick and draws up to 8 runs. Open and novice classes and youth will be available if enough riders. IF you have never seen old-time plowing down with horses or mules, OR even if you have, you DON’T want to miss this:
The Farm Fest & Plowing Competition is the largest plowing competition on the West Coast, with 20+ teams of draft horses and mules.
See demos and meet the teamsters. Join for a day of old-time farming fun at this year’s event with Pioneer Kids’ activities, tours of the museum and 1880’s Hutchcroft School, old-time music, food and more!
Admission is $8 for adults and free for kids under 12.
This event is put on by the Yamhill County Historical Society-Yamhill Valley Heritage Center.
