Hello Cowgirls and Equestrians of all riding disciplines. Every 2nd Tuesday of each month we round up at Woody’s.We gather ideas on what to do with cowgirl friends with or without horses. Whether a member or not take a evening to round up with us to join and help plan some events as a group of cowgirls,maybe something you have in mind and always wanted to do…will be interesting and fun for all! Time to start riding, cowgirls! We have a team for the 2024 Virtual Tevis Cup ! To get on the roster, we need your name, current 40SC member number and the bib number assigned to you through the sign up link below, in addition to the total mileage ridden. If you do not have a horse, you can also participate by walking/ running the 100 miles.
You can screen shot the app with your mileage, in addition to the sign up response with your bib number. There will be one roster for this event!

Caney Mountain Horse Camp in approx an 8 hour drive from Fort Worth. There are numerous videos on YouTube featuring Caney Mountain and all that it has to offer.  It will be magnificent with all of the Spring foliage.  This is a great opportunity to challenge yourself and your mount.  They have guides and trails for all levels of riders.  YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN RESERVATIONS.   There is a restaurant at the camp. It is near Big Flat.  You will see a sign that says Leatherwood Wilderness and another sign that says 1118. Directions are on their website campsites are $30.00 per night no hook ups available generator only.   uncovered stalls are $10 per night covered are $20 Water is available and there is a bath house.

We all know that a good breakfast gets you energized for a long haul road trip! Park your truck & trailer at Bucee’s next door (they have HUGE parking lot) and come have your favorite Whataburger breakfast with us!

IT’S THAT TIME AGAIN!!!!

We are so excited to head out for our retreat at Train Robber Ranch for the 3rd year in a row!!  Wonderful time had for all!

Once we get closer to the date we will figure out a place to meet and caravan for those who want to. Otherwise, we will meet you all down there.

This is a private retreat with limited spots available so let us know if you are interested in joining us. We will be leaving on Thursday, April 11th to head down there and coming back on that Sunday. The cost will be divided between everyone who signs up to go.

We always plan meals for dinner so that everyone can pitch in and bring something. We will plan this as we get closer as well.

Each campsite has two horse corrals, as well as power and water. There is a bath house in the campground as well.

We will be attending the Good Samaritan annual fundraiser

Help fight  Hunger locally & globally. Dine on a simple meal of soup, bread dessert and water. Take home a hand painted ceramic bowl as a reminder of the fight against food insecurity and hunger in our area and around the world

Large meadow for parking big rigs.  Trails are mixed high desert, two-track and cow trails with a few sections of volcanic rock. Gentle roling elevation changes.  AERC organized endurance ride (fees are dependent on distance: 25, 55, 75) with a 10 mile introductory trail ride.

Joins us on a lovely trail ride w/Terrie @ Rafter L ranch. She will also have obstacle course available after trail ride.
Ranch Pizzeria is a great place for a late lunch in Coleman too. See you there!

Come  out and join us at San Angelo State Park before the heat gets here…  Trails for all level of riders.  Bring your favorite dish for Saturday night pot luck dinner…  All are welcome..

A few Cowgirls just might be found here getting in some good Ranch Riding, Trail and Rail work!!  Come out and join us!  There are lots of entry level and advanced level Classes.  You must compete in at least 5 of the 8 Shows to earn point placings for the Year-End Awards!

Wonderful group of gals and guys , family fun , and great way to work on new patterns and bond with your horse and enjoy something new.

This is a focused Clinic for “Building Confidence Through Better Horsemanship”!  Nathan Wells will work you through some ground time and saddle time.  Requirements for this Clinic participation is the ability to walk, trot, and lope your horse.  His training will be improvements in horsemanship within each gate.  This will help the confidence of beginners as well as experienced rider!!  Limited space for six (6) riders.  Audit is $20 per person.  Sign up promptly at https://www.facebook.com/wellsperformancehorsemanhip
