Trail Boss, Linda Deas, has organized a long weekend for Trail Riding. Plan will be to ride out each morning at 10:30am. This site is in the Davy Crockett National Forest. It has pens, electric and water. Please register online at www.tbarshorsecamp.com to make your reservation!! And as always, contact Linda if you have any questions whatsoever!! And based on weather, please “call before you haul”!!

This event is for auditing the clinic only. Cost to audit is $30 cash per day. SAFE volunteers and adopters can audit for FREE.

The 23rd Annual Northwest Horse Fair & Expo will be held at the Linn Co. Fair & Expo Center in Albany, OR March 22-24, 2023.
The event is a three-day horse fair and exposition, attracting horse owners and enthusiasts from Oregon and the surrounding states and Canada. Each day of the expo will be packed with sights and sounds of the horse world: featuring world-renowned clinicians, various breed demonstrations, stallion review, equine related shopping booths and much more!

Events vary at each play day! Entry fee $20.00 for all events of $10 for one event. Saddles awarded to each age group (excluding lead line.) Must compete in 3 or 4 play days to eligible for prizes.

Every Tuesday afternoon, 5pm until we’re done. Come out and join us for open riding. Games! Polo! Whatever else we can come up with. Bring the family. $5 per horse to be paid to Virgil.
Babe will provide several games, tables and non-alcoholic beverages. Feel free to bring a new game if you want to introduce to others. Please bring a snack to share with others.

Day trail ride off Cannon Rd & FR 92E- Chattahoochee National Forest, Toccoa, Ga. – meet at 10am, saddle up and head out exploring the endless trails, waterfalls, and forest roads. Bring lunch, snacks, and water. Dogs allowed in this area. Trails are easy and shoes not needed here.

We had to plan our meeting a little later in the month than we normally do due to an event we had scheduled on our normal meeting time. But no fear we are here!! Farmersville will be attending a Progressive Series of Liberty Training presented by East Texas Liberty and hosted by Sherri Gerstenkorn. Each Clinic session is $150. Audit is allowed at $50 per person and will give you a birds-eye perspective of the process! If this is a success and more interest is created, Sherri may offer this Series on a Monthly basis in conjunction with East Texas Liberty. Please feel free to contact Sherri!

And we’re off….To the races that is! The Hawkinsville Harness Races will be held on Mar 30th. This is the only day of the year where you can watch live horse racing in Georgia! Gates open at 9:30 and races start at 11:00. There will be food on site as well as local vendors and activities for kids. Cost is $5 per person and children under 12 get in free. Can’t wait to see all the beautiful racehorses AND watch every race from start to finish! We should probably be at the track around 10:00 and all sit together for the exciting races! We will have an early supper around 4:00 at the Hawkinsville Steak House after watching the races most of the day. Think this will be a very enjoyable event for all ages! It could be our own “Forsyth Chapter Derby” with the big, beautiful hats and of course mint juleps or mimosas! Who’s in?

Jump on your horse or mule and have some fun while also helping to maintain the trails at Big Mineral. Bring some loppers and a snack. Big Mineral is a pretty rugged ride with some fairly steep hills. Its not rocky though and your steed can go barefoot. Also, theres no fee to ride there.
