Our monthly Grub night will be on January 25, 2024 at Los Cabos Mexican Restaurant on Foothill Blvd. We will be discussing upcoming events, year end awards party, holiday party, slush funds, memberships and much more. Let’s get our ride on at Jen’s.  We will meet at no0n, bring something to eat or snack on and something to drink.  There are oil field roads and some could be rocky.  If your horse is barefoot, you will probably want boots for your pony.  The terrain is mostly sand except the roads.  Wonder what kind of critters we might see?m

Come out and watch our very own Rock Springs Grizzlies Hockey team play on their home ice. Game will be on Friday, February 2, 2024 at 7 pm a the Rock Springs Family Rec Center Ice Arena, 3900 Sweetwater Drive, Rock Springs WY 82901. Tickets are $10 each. If you go take a selfie and send to Susan to get on the roster.

We will gather up, laugh, eat and plan our month.  Bring your ideas for any new events and we will discuss them during the meal.

Some of y’all have been wanting to paint these horseshoes.  We can gather around and do a little crafting and alot of laughing.  If you have any old horseshoes, bring them, if not we will have some there.

Attending the annual Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Big Game Banquet on February 10, 2024 at the Events Complex. Starts at 5 pm. Raffles, games, dinner.

Let’s go bowling. Sunday February 18, 2024 at 1 pm. We might have to wait for an lane, but it doesn’t usually take too long. Cost is $4 per game. Please let me know if you are interested in going so we can get a head count.

2024 DU guns of the year!

Monthly dinner gathering will be at Los Cabos on February 27, 2024 at 6:30 pm. Kari won the basket, so she will bring it to this dinner. We decided to donate a buckle for the Sweetwater Ranch Sort Club, and also for the Wild West Outlaws gymkhana 40 and over age group. Slush fund is $492.00. before the deduction for buckles.

The 7th and final gymkhana of the winter series will be on March 2, 2024 at the indoor arena in Rock Springs. Entries start at 9 am. For more information contact Susan Nichols.

This is a benefit for Carly and Ben Hautala. Cade pass away on January 21, 2024. We will do a Silent Auction, Dollar Raffles and a food truck. We will begin playing Xtreme Music Bingo starting at 7 PM. Cost of the boards are $10.00 for your 1st and $5.00 for any additional boards per category. Categories will be determined soon. This is the 69th year to hold the annual fundraiser in support of our little parish of St. Helen’s. Lots of great raffle prizes and lots of great auction items. Dinner is Corned Beef and Irish Stew. Come on out! Tickets available at the door. See you there.

Monthly Chapter meeting in Port Orchard

Join the cowgirls and area law enforcement agencies for a night of bingo, games, raffles and fun, honoring Fallen Officer Nevada Krinkee. This is a fundraiser for this young officer’s family. Bingo cards are $10 each. Event will be on Thursday, March 21, 2024. Doors open at 6 pm. Please see flyer for further details.

The cowgirl annual bake sale to raise money for our t-shirt sale for Autism Awareness.  There will be lots of goodies and maybe even a few non food items.  Come out and support us, supporting a special cause.

This class is to help educate on what to do in different emergency scenarios. We will be discussing what to do and what not to do. What gear to have for example what to keep in a bag in your vehicle if it breaks down on the side of the road. What to keep in your house if the power goes out. If this sounds like something you want to learn come out to Coal Train Coffee Depot and check it out!

Join us at the Young at Heart Community Center April 13th, 2024 for the 15th Annual Casino Fever. Doors open at 4:30 PM.

Trinity Trail Events founder Maral Eckenrod will conduct an instructional clinic on how to navigate the mountain trail obstacles at Flying M Stables, which were built by Mark Bolender of Bolender Horse Park.  If you trail ride or have thought of competing at a Novice, Intermediate, or Advanced Level of Equine Trail Sports events (ETS) or other obstacle challenges such as IMTCA events (International Mountain Trail Challenge Association), here is where you can start!  Maral will lead us through how to acclimate your horse to the obstacle, navigate it properly, and what judges are looking for.

Trinity Trail Events also conducts virtual challenges using just a few items (ground poles, tarp, cones, flag, spray bottle) that you may have at home.  You will receive the pattern and have a window of time to practice and video you and your horse navigating the obstacles, submit your video to Maral, who will judge it, provide comments if you want, and award prizes, including buckles. TTE has Novice, Intermediate, Advanced and Easy Peasy patterns to get you started in this field!

Depending on sign-ups for the clinic, the plan is for 2 hours of In-Hand instruction and practice and 2 hours of mounted instruction and practice.  If more than 12 horse/rider pairs sign-up, then it may be changed to 2 groups, with 1 hour each of In-Hand and Mounted work.

Cost: $60 per horse/rider pair, includes haul-in fee of $35 ;  $5 per auditor

Pay via Venmo to @Wendy-Morrow-79  and Chapter will pay the haul-in fee to Flying M Stables.
