In celebration of our Chapter’s fantastic year and the Birth of our Lord, we are gathering to celebrate each other and our growing horse friendship.  We will have an exciting party at Sweetwater in a designated private area.  It may be loud… but so are we!!!

Lets kick this year off with a great meeting and planning session. Bring a friend, your ideas for events and fundraisers! Dinner, drinks during the meeting and trivia to follow! Please let us know if you are able to make it day of so that we can reserve a table.

FULL PARADE ATTIRE!!!!!!

Please have your 40SC pink blouse, 40SC black jacket, black felt hat or helmet, fuchsia wild rag,  blue jeans. Horse needs 40SC black saddle pad, pink polo wraps. Depending on weather you can layer under parade attire. Gloves to be handed out at parade if they are to be used.

Please have your waivered filled out and either back to your Queen or mail them to FWSSR. I have placed the link below for you. They are due by Nov 30th, NO fax or email entries will be excepted. More information as it comes to us will be posted!

• All parade participants must review and sign a Participant Release Form. Release Forms must accompany the organization’s application at time of submission.
• Participants must carefully read and abide by all Parade rules.
• Health Papers: All horses and other equine are required to have proper health papers to participate in the parade or enter staging area. Riders must be in possession of health papers at all times. See ” Official Health Requirements” as provided in the application information for mandatory health requirements on horses and other equine.

The Caddo National Grasslands WMA is located in Fannin County about 70 miles northeast of Dallas near Bonham. From Dallas take US 75 north for 35 miles to the SH 121 exit going to Bonham, another 35 miles to Bonham, and then about 15-20 miles northeast of Bonham to the WMA. SH 121 connects to US 82 at Bonham. Stay on US 82 18 miles to Honey Grove.

Caddo is a Federal Park Property.  You can purchase a Lifetime Senior Membership Discount Card at www.Reservations.gov, or several others to pick from!

Join us for Amy Weber’s Birthday and tackle the Hot Chocolate Run at Fair Park in Dallas!!  Amy has completed this a couple of times and has good advice.  Sign up early and take advantage of early sign-up Discounts… by December 3rd for best discount!!  If you do not want to participate, you can come, shop at the Vendor Expo, and cheer others at the Finish Line.  You should also know, parking is very crowded.  Get there early and be prepared.  Then we will hang around to celebrate and take in the sites.  Contact Cowgirl Amy with your questions.  SEE YA THERE!

Let’s gather for a quick dinner before the Michael Johnson Show.  Corner Grub is just around the block from the Community Players Theatre.  If you have not experienced Corner Grub House, you will love it, too!!

Cowgirls, this is a local opportunity to hear a great “Author, Humorist & Playwright”, Michael Johnson.  Michael lives in our own Campbell, TX.  I had the opportunity to hear him at a Lazy TK Ranch event in Breckenridge a couple of years ago.  Such a fun Cowboy gentlemen with stories to tell.  Tickets are free to the public, with donations appreciated!  Plan your calendar and save this evening!  Please plan to wear your 40SC Gear and make a showing… and fork up those donations!  It will be good for the Theatre and great for Michael’s fans!

Bring a friend, your ideas for events and fundraisers! We will be doing a pot luck (facility is also BYOB) during the meeting. Afterwards there will be axe throwing, archery, corn hole & darts! Please let us know if you are able to make it day of so that we can plan the potluck and let the venue know a head count.

The Farmersville Cruisers will be traveling from East Texas to Galveston together for some shopping, eating, and fueling along the way.  Arrival is planned for ??? Trouble is just beginning!!!

Cowgirl Jennie Vayo is setting up an opportunity for you to participate in a Night Ride Obstacle Clinic at Legacy Ranch in Lone Oak.  This Clinic will be offered by Hunt County Sheriff’s Posse, under the direction of David and Terry Rogers.  It is limited to ten (10) riders, so sign-up quickly.  If weather is prohibitive, it will be rescheduled.  Come on out… new opportunity, new experience!!

Since we are all trying to save some $$s for one reason or another, Maria and Whispering Oaks Farm & Ranch have offered to Host a barn “Watch Party” for The American Performance Horseman.  (The Globe Life tickets with any decent view are high, and their refreshments are as well.)   This competition will be aired by Fox Sports 1, so check your local listings.

The greats will be in class competitions, including but not limited to, Casey Deary, Cade McCutcheon, Sarah Dawson, Andrea Fappani, Corey Cushing and Jason Vanlandingham!!  There are 5 designated Teams of 3 each competing, so this will take a while.  In the meantime, so much fun to be had!!  Contact Maria or me for details.  Bring your favorite chairs and dress as needed for the barn and weather!!

We will be riding from Gentry Wimberely’s house to Canyon Road Bar and Grill. This will be a 6-7 mile ride with drink stops if needed. we are planning to unload at Gentrys then convoying trucks and trailers to Canyon Road we will have a cowgirl uber to take the drivers who are also riding back to the horses. Books open at 9AM, Events begin at 10AM.  Age groups are 6 & Under, 7-12, 13-18, 19-39, 40 & Over.  Classes include Poles, Straighaway Barrels, Cloverleaf Barrels, plus 2 Mystery Classes.

Playday Series dates include March 2 & 16, April 6 & 27, May 11 & 25, and June 15 & 29.  High point Buckles will be given for each age group!  **MUST ATTEND 6 OUT OF 8 PLAYDAYS IN THE SERIES TO QUALIFY FOR END OF SERIES AWARDS.**

Cost is $10 per Class or $40 for 5 Classes.  Payment due in Cash or Zelle.

Farmersville will be attending a Progressive Series of Liberty Training presented by East Texas Liberty and hosted by Sherri Gerstenkorn.  Each Clinic session is $150.  Audit is allowed at $50 per person and will give you a birds-eye perspective of the process!  If this is a success and more interest is created, Sherri may offer this Series on a Monthly basis in conjunction with East Texas Liberty.  Please feel free to contact Sherri!

We have moved our Tuesday night rides to Saturday. Time is subjected change with the weather.

A few Cowgirls just might be found here getting in some good Ranch Riding, Trail and Rail work!!  Come out and join us!  There are lots of entry level and advanced level Classes.  You must compete in at least 5 of the 8 Shows to earn point placings for the Year-End Awards!

One of our newest Cowgirls Elaine Gober and her husband Travis our competing in the acoustic showdown, this event is part of care fest. winners of this event will go on to play at the big carefest concert on august 24. This is a focused Clinic for “Building Confidence Through Better Horsemanship”!  Nathan Wells will work you through some ground time and saddle time.  Requirements for this Clinic participation is the ability to walk, trot, and lope your horse.  His training will be improvements in horsemanship within each gate.  This will help the confidence of beginners as well as experienced rider!!  Limited space for six (6) riders.  Audit is $20 per person.  Sign up promptly at https://www.facebook.com/wellsperformancehorsemanhip

Turkey Creek Rodeo Club has Started their Open 4D barrel series. Exhibitons start at 4pm-6pm. Youth Barrels will begin at 6:30 entry fee is 35.00. Open Barrels will begin after youth runs entry fee is 45.00. 75% pay out on 1/2 splits this is a buckle series and you must attend 3 of the 5 to qualify for the buckle
