Gathering all members and guests! Let’s meet at Town Tavern at 4:00 for drinks, food, socializing and a short meeting to review our achievements of 2023 and set our goals for 2024.

We will pass the boot for our 2024 charity, which has not been picked yet, so bring your ideas.

H. Cooper Black for another Camp and Ride

located at 279 Sporting Dog Trail, Cheraw, SC for a winter ride. The trails are flat, sandy and well marked.

1/15/24 Update: Since we had to reschedule the January 13, 2024 FYFS and Browband Workshops to January 27, 2024, Cowgirl Liz has offered to host our January meeting at her house in conjunction with the other events. Our January meeting will be held at 12:30. Immediately following the meeting will be the FYFS workshop and then, browband making.

Please email for location and additional information. This meeting will be held at a private residence, and we will not be publicly posting the address.

Due to weather, this event has been rescheduled from 1/13/24 to 1/27/24.

One of our cowgirls is hosting a equitation workshop at 1 PM at her private residence. At 3 PM, the same member will host a browband making workshop. Space available for 6-10 participants. Cost is about $10 for leather, plus any bling you would like to add.

Come and hang out with us.  Bring a horse or two.  Play day!!  Poles, polo, soccer, games, or whatever else we can come up with.  $5 per horse to cover the cost of the arena.  Money goes to Virgil.

TrailHead is easiest found by putting Buck’s Grave Road, Chester, SC in your GPS. You will take Woods Ferry Road to get to Buck’s Grave Rd. This will take you to the gravel road that goes to the trailhead. No restroom nor water at trailhead. 

Located in western Chester County, lies within a beautiful wooded floodplain surrounded by upland pine woods and maturing hardwood forests. Some hills and a few rocky/rooty areas. 

Meet at 10:00, ride out by 10:30.

Premier Equine Facility located in Ferguson , NC is a wonderful destination horseback riding vacation for you and your horses. Over 75 miles of beautiful NC trails to explore that consist of long woodsy paths along beautiful ridges, old logging roads, lots of creek crossings and minimal to long climbs and descents. Volunteer Services for Hot Mess Horse and Animal Rescue – Cowgirls have been asked to assist with fencing and animal care. We are meeting at the rescue on Old Murphy Road. All materials are on site for the fence repair, which is needed to separate the horses from the cows, goats, and alpacas. Laura Thornton has offered to pay and declined payment since earning and fundraising for horse rescues is very difficult. We are honored to show cowgirl generosity and compassion to the owner and these deserving animals. We welcome cowgirls and their families to donate time and services to this amazing rescue in the heart of our community

Trail ride at the back side of Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest, exploring new areas and trails. Lady Splipper and Lake Russell trails are nestled amongst the beautiful foothills of Northeast Georgia. Meeting at the end of the road of Cannon Rd, which is just past Frady Branch Equine main trail parking.

Grab your branding iron and come on over to Shaner Farm.

Duane Poole, the branding man, will be there to place the brands. Branded horses are less likely to be stolen, plus it looks cool!

Kings Mountain State Park   Day Ride Meet at 10:00, ride out by 10:30. $3.00 per horse.

You can put 1277 Park Road, Blacksburg, SC in your GPS, but remember you are going to Apple Road once you reach Park Road. 

This easy to moderately difficult 30+ mile loop trails begins in Kings Mountain State Park and circles into Kings Mountain National Military Park, the site of a famous Revolutionary War battle. The surface is primarily flat with some rocky areas and some clay spots. A local saddle club takes care to watch over the trails and ensure solid footing on some of the ridge climbs. Shoes or boots recommended.

Our monthly meeting.  We are incorporating the obstacle course meeting with our regular agenda.  Come and be part of the activities.  Light refreshments always welcome, but not necessary.  Monday, February26th, 6 pm.

$ 5-a-day use fee which you can buy a yearly pass from USDA Forest Service. Bring lunch, snacks, and drinks.  See ya on the trail

Croft State Park Camp and Ride

This park located in Spartanburg, SC is widely popular and is known around the region for its equestrian facilities. The park regularly hosts shows in its arena and boasts more than 20 miles of equestrian trails. Mostly flat trails, rocky and roots in some areas.

FCSC Annual Tack Swap. We will have indoor vendors on two floors of our clubhouse and outside spaces available. More information to follow. Sign ups should be available at the end of December. Mark your calendars!

The FCSC Annual Tack Swap has been set for Saturday, March 9th.  They will be using the same format as last year with both inside and outside spots available to rent.  First space is $25 and extra spaces can be added at $15 each.  This allows for social distancing and was a big help to the success of last year’s event.  For more information contact Jean Lewis at 509-521-8996 or email at [email protected].

Manchester Spring Trail Ride   Camp and Ride

Located in Pinewood, SC

Reservations are accepted usually one -two months prior to the event. The event is a fundraiser for the Manchester Trail Riders Club. These folks put a lot of work into it and make sure everyone has a great time.

Mostly flat and sandy trails. Awesome trail ride with food, bands and vendors! 

Water/Power at each site. Bathhouse on site. You’ll need to high line or corral your horse.
