Back Country Horsemen Of Texas are hosting this annual New Year’s Day Ride. You can come for the weekend or just the day. Bring a potluck dish to go with the black eyed peas for lunch. The only fee is for the park. If you’re staying overnight, make sure you make reservations in advance. Coggins are checked at the park entrance.
Let’s meet at Parker Bowie arena in Iva SC and enjoy a winter ride. Bring lunch and drinks. Ride out at 11am.
We have been invited to ride at the Rafter L ranch.
Beautiful scenery and an obstacle course available too.
Clinic limited to 15 participants. Currently they have a waiting list. The instructors are from Rustic Farm.
Cowgirls we’re going to ride Saturday at Fell Hunt Camp, 1369 Cedar Springs Rd, Bradley, SC. You can start either at the Fell camp or from Toni Vonruden’s house 181 Tuck Rd, Bradley SC., at the top of the trail. Camp if you like, primitive. 10$. We will have a chili dinner at Toni”s when we arrive there. If you’re leaving from campground, be ready to ride at 11am. Toni will lead the group starting from her place to the camp to meet up and ride back to her house. Negative coggins required. Please contact Toni for a head count. (715) 896 1842 or Libby
Join our Marvelous Mavericks riding the trails around the lake at Abilene State Park.
Check in at the office to show proof of negative coggins, and pay the $5/person park entrance fee.
Make a U-turn around the office and go back out to the highway. Go Left for 1 mile. Lake entrance is on the right. We park near the swimming area or in the first boat ramp parking lot.
The trail is a 2 hour ride. Bathrooms are close to parking. Yes, there are areas where you can water your horse.

Join us at Abilene State Park for our monthly trail ride. Be sure to check in, show coggins, and pay your fee to the park station before heading to the lake. Lake entrance is left 1 mile up the highway on the right side. We park near the swimming/picnic area. See y’all there!
Hickory Creek WMA is a beautifully rugged, fun place to ride. The trails are now well marked and clear. You DO need a conservation pass to ride there, unless you already have an OK hunting or fishing license.
We’re honoring the life of a great Cowgirl. We’ll be having her favorite trail ride lunch after, bologna sandwiches. I think someone is smoking a bologna. So bring a potluck dish to share.

She will go over how different bits work in horses mouth, choosing the best bit for you and your horse, how to balance your saddle to improve your comfort and safety. Come join us, Saturday, May 4, 2024 on our Trail Ride. This beautiful ride is in the area of the historic
“Chisholm Trail” on the G-C Ranch. The ride starts at 10:00 A.M. sharp. Lunch is provided, drinks
will be furnished. Porta Privies will be available.
It is recommended the horses be shod for this ride.
Negative Coggins required-no exceptions. Cost is $30 for adults, $10 for students, and kids under 12 are free.
