Back Country Horsemen Of Texas are hosting this annual New Year’s Day Ride. You can come for the weekend or just the day. Bring a potluck dish to go with the black eyed peas for lunch. The only fee is for the park. If you’re staying overnight, make sure you make reservations in advance. Coggins are checked at the park entrance.

It’s Roundup time again Cowgirls! Let’s eat some really good pizza, have a drink, make merry and discuss all thinks horsey and plan some shenanigans to get into.
Let’s get our ride on at Jen’s. We will meet at no0n, bring something to eat or snack on and something to drink. There are oil field roads and some could be rocky. If your horse is barefoot, you will probably want boots for your pony. The terrain is mostly sand except the roads. Wonder what kind of critters we might see?m
We will gather up, laugh, eat and plan our month. Bring your ideas for any new events and we will discuss them during the meal.
Its Roundup time again! We had such a great time at St Joe’s Pizza in Gainesville we’re doing it again! Join to discuss shenanigans while we enjoy some good food and drink. Its BYOB there right now.
Some of y’all have been wanting to paint these horseshoes. We can gather around and do a little crafting and alot of laughing. If you have any old horseshoes, bring them, if not we will have some there.
Eddie Rodriguez will make a special visit to work with attendees. He will be playing with the horses and their riders for a fun and educational experience
Some days we just need a Cowgirl break in the middle of the week! Let’s get together for a quick lunch a few laughs.

Its Roundup time! We’re trying a new place in a favorite old location! Join us for drinks, dinner, and chatting about all things horsey! Bring $2 for the raffle and ideas for some fun trouble to get into.
The cowgirl annual bake sale to raise money for our t-shirt sale for Autism Awareness. There will be lots of goodies and maybe even a few non food items. Come out and support us, supporting a special cause.
Hickory Creek WMA is a beautifully rugged, fun place to ride. The trails are now well marked and clear. You DO need a conservation pass to ride there, unless you already have an OK hunting or fishing license.
Jump on your horse or mule and have some fun while also helping to maintain the trails at Big Mineral. Bring some loppers and a snack. Big Mineral is a pretty rugged ride with some fairly steep hills. Its not rocky though and your steed can go barefoot. Also, theres no fee to ride there.
Get ready to chase some cows in Midland! Time and entry will be determined, but save the date. The venue will be the Broken Horn in Midland.
We’re honoring the life of a great Cowgirl. We’ll be having her favorite trail ride lunch after, bologna sandwiches. I think someone is smoking a bologna. So bring a potluck dish to share.
Saturday sale starts at 9 am with wagons, trailers, antiques, & farm equipment. Consignment mules start an hour after that. If anyone is interested in more, Thursday @ 4pm is a trail competition & Friday is the tack sale

The dogwoods are blooming at Caddo Grasslands!! #1, its a lovely time to ride at Caddo AND did I mention the dogwoods? #2, If you wait too long to go ride out there, when it gets hot, the horse flies get vicious. So come enjoy the Grasslands now while its beautiful.

Its Roundup time! This month we’re meeting at the NETX horse sale at Jared Lesch. Friday is the sale preview. There will be live music, Complimentary cookout, Vendors, and more! Lets meet up, Look at some pretty horses, and maybe plan some stuff!
Come join us, Saturday, May 4, 2024 on our Trail Ride. This beautiful ride is in the area of the historic
“Chisholm Trail” on the G-C Ranch. The ride starts at 10:00 A.M. sharp. Lunch is provided, drinks
will be furnished. Porta Privies will be available.
It is recommended the horses be shod for this ride.
Negative Coggins required-no exceptions. Cost is $30 for adults, $10 for students, and kids under 12 are free.

We will start at 10am, then take a break and will then have a Round Robin. Will need 14 for the clinic to make
Come out as Queen Jen gets some free “labor” out of us. We will gather the cattle and work them this day. Make sure you bring something to drink and maybe a snack or two.
After “working” the cows, we will need something to eat and probably drink!
Trail maintenance at Hickory Creek. Bring some loppers, something to drink and a snack and be ready to ride out at about 9 am to clear up some trails. Hickory Creek is a FUN place to ride and made even better, now that we have some marked trails. You’ll need an OK Conservation pass to ride there.
Hickory Creek is a fun, beautifully rugged ride with lots of hills and scenery. You will need a conservation pass if you don’t already have an Ok hunting or fishing license. You can purchase one through an OK Outdoors app on your phone and just show the game warden that if you get stopped.
Let’s gather, visit, and plan our next events! I have a challenge for everyone, bring a visitor! Try and find a friend that you think might like to become a member of the funest bunch around!

So crafty Queen Jen thinks we can do this easy craft, we will be making coasters out of tiles, temp tattoos and mod-podge. You would think she would learn that God gave each of us different gifts. Come on out and if anything, let me entertain yall!
Platter Flats is a nice place to ride in summer. Its sandy, theres a nice breeze off the lake and the horse flies arent bad there.
Queen Jen is from the Pecos area and this is a favorite of hers.

Its HOT! So we’re gonna meet at Big Mineral Marina on Lake Texoma and take off in the boat for a redneck cruise and do some swimming, drinking, and snacking to cool off and give the weather the bird!

A trail is open at Ray Roberts after tornadoes damaged the area. We’ll take a short ride and get back before it gets too hot.

Lets beat the heat with another lake day!! We’ll meet at Walnut Creek Marina where Misty will pick you up on her boat for a Redneck Cruise. Bring snacks to share for a picnic on the boat.
A few chapters are teaming up to resurrect the old Shawnee Trail Ride in Pottsboro, TX. Frontier Days in Pottsboro was started around the wagon train on its way through town, following the old Shawnee Trail that moved cattle from Dallas to Missouri and crossed the Red River at Preston Point. The Trail Ride disappeared about 20 years ago and we’re bringing it back! Join us for the planing if you want to participate in the planning.
We have the supplies to make coasters (apparently super easy) and some hair clips. We will be having a bake sale in October to sell these items as a fund raiser.
This will be probably the last ride of the year at Hickory Creek before they close it for hunting season. Hickory Creek is a fun, fairly rugged ride. We’re meeting at the bridge. If youre coming and don’t know where to go, contact Carolyn Grayson, listed as the event coordinator and she’ll send you a pin.

Hud Roberts is a local custom saddle maker who will review general saddle building and fitting information. There will be a question and answer period. You may register to bring your horse and/or saddle for fitting review. Hud will demonstrate several saddle tree and saddle fittings. Location is to be determined based on the numbers registered. (Either Farmersville or Greenville)
