Gathering all members and guests! Let’s meet at Town Tavern at 4:00 for drinks, food, socializing and a short meeting to review our achievements of 2023 and set our goals for 2024.

We will pass the boot for our 2024 charity, which has not been picked yet, so bring your ideas.

Changed date to Thursday due to rains expected on original date of Tuesday.

Come out for a day ride at KMSP. Meeting at 10:00, ride out by 10:30!

FULL PARADE ATTIRE!!!!!!

Please have your 40SC pink blouse, 40SC black jacket, black felt hat or helmet, fuchsia wild rag,  blue jeans. Horse needs 40SC black saddle pad, pink polo wraps. Depending on weather you can layer under parade attire. Gloves to be handed out at parade if they are to be used.

Please have your waivered filled out and either back to your Queen or mail them to FWSSR. I have placed the link below for you. They are due by Nov 30th, NO fax or email entries will be excepted. More information as it comes to us will be posted!

• All parade participants must review and sign a Participant Release Form. Release Forms must accompany the organization’s application at time of submission.
• Participants must carefully read and abide by all Parade rules.
• Health Papers: All horses and other equine are required to have proper health papers to participate in the parade or enter staging area. Riders must be in possession of health papers at all times. See ” Official Health Requirements” as provided in the application information for mandatory health requirements on horses and other equine.

H. Cooper Black for another Camp and Ride

located at 279 Sporting Dog Trail, Cheraw, SC for a winter ride. The trails are flat, sandy and well marked.

Cowgirls let’s get together and plan our yearly calendar. We can meet at Back Country Tack shop, do some shopping and have a great BBQ lunch for 7$.  Let’s support our community businesses. Bring some good ideas! This is your chapter! See you around noon. Bring a friend!

TrailHead is easiest found by putting Buck’s Grave Road, Chester, SC in your GPS. You will take Woods Ferry Road to get to Buck’s Grave Rd. This will take you to the gravel road that goes to the trailhead. No restroom nor water at trailhead. 

Located in western Chester County, lies within a beautiful wooded floodplain surrounded by upland pine woods and maturing hardwood forests. Some hills and a few rocky/rooty areas. 

Meet at 10:00, ride out by 10:30. 

Want to learn to line dance? Join some cowgirls at the Water’s Cafe Wednesday mornings at 10:30.

Evening classes available too 5:30 pm. with Shay Wood.

Leatherwood Mountain  Camp and Ride

Premier Equine Facility located in Ferguson , NC is a wonderful destination horseback riding vacation for you and your horses. Over 75 miles of beautiful NC trails to explore that consist of long woodsy paths along beautiful ridges, old logging roads, lots of creek crossings and minimal to long climbs and descents. The trails are safe, well marked and mapped. When you and your equine companion visit the heart of “Horse Country” you may never want to leave!

Cowgirls we’re going to ride Saturday at Fell Hunt Camp, 1369 Cedar Springs Rd, Bradley, SC.  You can start either at the Fell camp or from Toni Vonruden’s house 181 Tuck Rd, Bradley SC., at the top of the trail. Camp if you like, primitive. 10$. We will have a chili dinner at Toni”s when we arrive there. If you’re leaving from campground, be ready to ride at 11am. EVENT LOCATION UPDATED!

Bring a friend, your ideas for events and fundraisers! We will be doing a pot luck (facility is also BYOB) during the meeting. Afterwards there will be axe throwing, archery, corn hole & darts! Please let us know if you are able to make it day of so that we can plan the potluck and let the venue know a head count.

Join us for dinner, all the 411 and swag bags the night prior to our 6th Annual 40 SC Cruise. Please let us know if you plan to attend and what meal you would like to order from our limited menu (via our cruising Facebook page). So excited to see y’all!

Duane Poole, the branding man, will be there to place the brands. Branded horses are less likely to be stolen, plus it looks cool!

This easy to moderately difficult 30+ mile loop trails begins in Kings Mountain State Park and circles into Kings Mountain National Military Park, the site of a famous Revolutionary War battle. The surface is primarily flat with some rocky areas and some clay spots. A local saddle club takes care to watch over the trails and ensure solid footing on some of the ridge climbs. Shoes or boots recommended.

Cowgirls we’re joining the Back Country Horsemen for a fun annual meeting, obstacle course, prizes, camping. Sign up for lunch with the BCH. $40.00 if paid by Feb 15. $50 after. Reserve campsite through Croft Park. Contact [email protected]. Negative coggins required.

Croft State Park Camp and Ride

This park located in Spartanburg, SC is widely popular and is known around the region for its equestrian facilities. The park regularly hosts shows in its arena and boasts more than 20 miles of equestrian trails. Mostly flat trails, rocky and roots in some areas.

We will be riding from Gentry Wimberely’s house to Canyon Road Bar and Grill. This will be a 6-7 mile ride with drink stops if needed. we are planning to unload at Gentrys then convoying trucks and trailers to Canyon Road we will have a cowgirl uber to take the drivers who are also riding back to the horses. Manchester Spring Trail Ride   Camp and Ride

Located in Pinewood, SC

Reservations are accepted usually one -two months prior to the event. The event is a fundraiser for the Manchester Trail Riders Club. These folks put a lot of work into it and make sure everyone has a great time.

Mostly flat and sandy trails. Awesome trail ride with food, bands and vendors! 

Water/Power at each site. Bathhouse on site. You’ll need to high line or corral your horse.

Located adjacent to the Uwharrie National Forest and at the Badin Lake Recreation Area. Miles of trails with minimal inclines. Some areas are rocky and roots. Boots or shoes recommended.

Latta Plantation Day Ride

6345 Sample Rd, Huntersville, NC 28078

No fee to ride cost; park at the old equestrian center, there are signs, they close after rains. 

No water or restrooms at trailer parking.

Shady trail side is mostly flat terrain and barefoot friendly. Prairie trail has bluestone rocks and mid sized round rocks, so boots or shoes recommended.

Lee State Park       Camp and Ride

487 Loop Rd., Bishopville, SC

Trails that run along the Lynches River. Sandy and flat terrain, no shoes nor boots necessary.  

Each campsite has two horse corrals, as well as power and water. There is a bath house in the campground as well.

One of our newest Cowgirls Elaine Gober and her husband Travis our competing in the acoustic showdown, this event is part of care fest. winners of this event will go on to play at the big carefest concert on august 24. Join us for a Round Up, bring yourself and friends to eat, socialize and discuss how our year is going.

Wonderful chance to gather with your fellow cowgirls!! This is a great time to bring a guest to see what we are all about.

These roundups give us a chance to share new ideas for events and review what we’ve done so far.

Turkey Creek Rodeo Club has Started their Open 4D barrel series. Exhibitons start at 4pm-6pm. Youth Barrels will begin at 6:30 entry fee is 35.00. Open Barrels will begin after youth runs entry fee is 45.00. 75% pay out on 1/2 splits this is a buckle series and you must attend 3 of the 5 to qualify for the buckle
