H. Cooper Black for another Camp and Ride
located at 279 Sporting Dog Trail, Cheraw, SC for a winter ride. The trails are flat, sandy and well marked.

Cowgirls let’s get together and plan our yearly calendar. We can meet at Back Country Tack shop, do some shopping and have a great BBQ lunch for 7$. Let’s support our community businesses. Bring some good ideas! This is your chapter! See you around noon. Bring a friend!
Drill team, trick riding, cowboy history, parade of hounds, fox hunting, mounted archery, trail safety, vendors. This expo covers it all. Come out and support the SC horse council. 10am to 4pm.

TrailHead is easiest found by putting Buck’s Grave Road, Chester, SC in your GPS. You will take Woods Ferry Road to get to Buck’s Grave Rd. This will take you to the gravel road that goes to the trailhead. No restroom nor water at trailhead.
Located in western Chester County, lies within a beautiful wooded floodplain surrounded by upland pine woods and maturing hardwood forests. Some hills and a few rocky/rooty areas.
Meet at 10:00, ride out by 10:30.
Want to learn to line dance? Join some cowgirls at the Water’s Cafe Wednesday mornings at 10:30.
Evening classes available too 5:30 pm. with Shay Wood.
Cowboy Mounted shooting Starts Friday with Shotgun and rifle. Saturday will be the main match.
Sunday Mardi Gras Parade
Enjoy a traditional Mardi Gras Parade continued with a chicken run and a grease pig chase.
Howard Venable road and surrounding roads will be closed from 6 am to 4 pm so arrive early. There will be parking at the Vcross ranch, we will shuttle to the Prince ranch.
Leatherwood Mountain Camp and Ride
Premier Equine Facility located in Ferguson , NC is a wonderful destination horseback riding vacation for you and your horses. Over 75 miles of beautiful NC trails to explore that consist of long woodsy paths along beautiful ridges, old logging roads, lots of creek crossings and minimal to long climbs and descents. The trails are safe, well marked and mapped. When you and your equine companion visit the heart of “Horse Country” you may never want to leave!

Cowgirls we’re going to ride Saturday at Fell Hunt Camp, 1369 Cedar Springs Rd, Bradley, SC. You can start either at the Fell camp or from Toni Vonruden’s house 181 Tuck Rd, Bradley SC., at the top of the trail. Camp if you like, primitive. 10$. We will have a chili dinner at Toni”s when we arrive there. If you’re leaving from campground, be ready to ride at 11am. Duane Poole, the branding man, will be there to place the brands. Branded horses are less likely to be stolen, plus it looks cool!

The surface is primarily flat with some rocky areas and some clay spots. A local saddle club takes care to watch over the trails and ensure solid footing on some of the ridge climbs. Croft State Park Camp and Ride
This park located in Spartanburg, SC is widely popular and is known around the region for its equestrian facilities. The park regularly hosts shows in its arena and boasts more than 20 miles of equestrian trails. Mostly flat trails, rocky and roots in some areas.

Manchester Spring Trail Ride Camp and Ride
Located in Pinewood, SC
Reservations are accepted usually one -two months prior to the event. The event is a fundraiser for the Manchester Trail Riders Club. These folks put a lot of work into it and make sure everyone has a great time.
Mostly flat and sandy trails. Awesome trail ride with food, bands and vendors!
Water/Power at each site. Bathhouse on site. You’ll need to high line or corral your horse.

4B Farm and Campground Camp and Ride
Located adjacent to the Uwharrie National Forest and at the Badin Lake Recreation Area. Miles of trails with minimal inclines. Some areas are rocky and roots. Boots or shoes recommended.

Join us for a practice Mounted shooting session March 30, 2024 10 am – 2 pm, priced at $20 per person. You can either bring your own blanks or purchase 10 blanks from us for $7.
Afterwards, enjoy a fun filled day with the 40SC moving cattle in the arena and some lively line dancing with Cowgirl Melanie Bourque. Don’t forget to bring your own Berverage.

No fee to ride cost; park at the old equestrian center, there are signs, they close after rains.
No water or restrooms at trailer parking.
Shady trail side is mostly flat terrain and barefoot friendly. Prairie trail has bluestone rocks and mid sized round rocks, so boots or shoes recommended.
Come join the Laurens Club memorial for Mr Shull, spring ride. Primitive camping, generators allowed. Steak dinner on Saturday night with entertainment. Sandy road trails mostly. Lee State Park Camp and Ride
487 Loop Rd., Bishopville, SC
Trails that run along the Lynches River. Sandy and flat terrain, no shoes nor boots necessary.
Each campsite has two horse corrals, as well as power and water. There is a bath house in the campground as well.

These roundups give us a chance to share new ideas for events and review what we’ve done so far.
Join the BCHSC group for guided trail rides, BBQ dinner Saturday, and breakfast Sunday morning. Lets support this wonderful group that keeps our trails clear and safe!
This one day clinic will be headed up by Martha Peddicord at JandA Stables in Donalds SC. She will go over how different bits work in horses mouth, choosing the best bit for you and your horse, how to balance your saddle to improve your comfort and safety. Guarantee your spot by paying in advance-call Eileen Hofstatter 864-378-1597 $45.00. No horses. Bring lunch and a chair.
Limited to members only at this time. April Lizzy will photograph your horse with a $50 non-refundable deposit to secure your session.

Obstacle Play Day at Judi Vogt’s farm located at 105 Tibor Drive, Kings Mountain, NC. Drive all the way to the end of the black top road. You will go through an open iron gate and see the arena, barn and parking on your left.
This event is from 11:00 – 2:00 and is no charge but donations are appreciated for our charity for 2024.
Obstacle play days are a great time to expose your horse and maybe you, to things you’ve not experienced. You will go at your own pace and ask for help from your peers at anytime. We are all happy to help!
We have had a great turnout in the past for play days, so to ensure we have enough parking for everyone, try to carpool if possible. Also, RSVP on the event, as we will keep a list of attendees and may have to limit our numbers.

Carolina Rawhide Riders is hosting their first Obstacle Play Day of 2024.
Let’s go experience obstacles you don’t get to play on every day. Outdoor Obstacle Course, Indoor Arena, and Trails.
Cost: $40 per horse and Rider, $10 additional per every added horse. (Half Off to those that attend the Hames Horsemanship Obstacle Clinic on June 8th).
