We will pass the boot for our 2024 charity, which has not been picked yet, so bring your ideas.

H. Cooper Black for another Camp and Ride

located at 279 Sporting Dog Trail, Cheraw, SC for a winter ride. The trails are flat, sandy and well marked.

The workshop is hands on demo.  We make Rustic Sourdough Boule, Together and the instructor walks you through step by step.  All participants take home some of the very active wild yeast sourdough starter.  The instructor also will bring a variety of yummy wild yeast sourdough treats to enjoy.

TrailHead is easiest found by putting Buck’s Grave Road, Chester, SC in your GPS. You will take Woods Ferry Road to get to Buck’s Grave Rd. This will take you to the gravel road that goes to the trailhead. No restroom nor water at trailhead. 

Located in western Chester County, lies within a beautiful wooded floodplain surrounded by upland pine woods and maturing hardwood forests. Some hills and a few rocky/rooty areas. 

Meet at 10:00, ride out by 10:30. 

We will be cooking hot dogs and smores on an open fire.  Bring a horse related item valued at $10 or less for a game.  Come prepared to have fun!

Leatherwood Mountain  Camp and Ride

Premier Equine Facility located in Ferguson , NC is a wonderful destination horseback riding vacation for you and your horses. Over 75 miles of beautiful NC trails to explore that consist of long woodsy paths along beautiful ridges, old logging roads, lots of creek crossings and minimal to long climbs and descents. The trails are safe, well marked and mapped. When you and your equine companion visit the heart of “Horse Country” you may never want to leave!

We will be meeting up and sitting together and hanging out.  We will also have lunch or dinner together on Saturday.  We will provide more information about lunch/dinner closer to the event.

Grab your branding iron and come on over to Shaner Farm.

Duane Poole, the branding man, will be there to place the brands. Branded horses are less likely to be stolen, plus it looks cool!

This easy to moderately difficult 30+ mile loop trails begins in Kings Mountain State Park and circles into Kings Mountain National Military Park, the site of a famous Revolutionary War battle. The surface is primarily flat with some rocky areas and some clay spots. A local saddle club takes care to watch over the trails and ensure solid footing on some of the ridge climbs. Shoes or boots recommended.

Croft State Park Camp and Ride

This park located in Spartanburg, SC is widely popular and is known around the region for its equestrian facilities. The park regularly hosts shows in its arena and boasts more than 20 miles of equestrian trails. Mostly flat trails, rocky and roots in some areas.

Manchester Spring Trail Ride   Camp and Ride

Located in Pinewood, SC

Reservations are accepted usually one -two months prior to the event. The event is a fundraiser for the Manchester Trail Riders Club. These folks put a lot of work into it and make sure everyone has a great time.

Mostly flat and sandy trails. Awesome trail ride with food, bands and vendors! 

Water/Power at each site. Bathhouse on site. You’ll need to high line or corral your horse.

This will be our second obstacle play day at Kim’s house.  If you didn’t come the first time, you missed out on a good time.  Kim has an unbelieve obstacle course set up at her home and changes it up on a weekly basis.  This course will be a St. Patty’s Day Theme.  It’s $40 per person and you need to bring a side dish to go with Taco Soup for our potluck lunch!

4B Farm and Campground   Camp and Ride

Located adjacent to the Uwharrie National Forest and at the Badin Lake Recreation Area. Miles of trails with minimal inclines. Some areas are rocky and roots. Boots or shoes recommended.

No fee to ride cost; park at the old equestrian center, there are signs, they close after rains. 

No water or restrooms at trailer parking.

Shady trail side is mostly flat terrain and barefoot friendly. Prairie trail has bluestone rocks and mid sized round rocks, so boots or shoes recommended.

Lee State Park       Camp and Ride

487 Loop Rd., Bishopville, SC

Trails that run along the Lynches River. Sandy and flat terrain, no shoes nor boots necessary.  

Each campsite has two horse corrals, as well as power and water. There is a bath house in the campground as well.

Join us for a Round Up, bring yourself and friends to eat, socialize and discuss how our year is going.

Wonderful chance to gather with your fellow cowgirls!! This is a great time to bring a guest to see what we are all about.

These roundups give us a chance to share new ideas for events and review what we’ve done so far.

Limited to members only at this time. April Lizzy will photograph your horse with a $50 non-refundable deposit to secure your session.

Obstacle Play Day at Judi Vogt’s farm located at 105 Tibor Drive, Kings Mountain, NC. Drive all the way to the end of the black top road. You will go through an open iron gate and see the arena, barn and parking on your left. 

This event is from 11:00 – 2:00 and is no charge but donations are appreciated for our charity for 2024. 

Obstacle play days are a great time to expose your horse and maybe you, to things you’ve not experienced. You will go at your own pace and ask for help from your peers at anytime. We are all happy to help! 

We have had a great turnout in the past for play days, so to ensure we have enough parking for everyone, try to carpool if possible. Also, RSVP on the event, as we will keep a list of attendees and may have to limit our numbers.

Carolina Rawhide Riders is hosting their first Obstacle Play Day of 2024.
Let’s go experience obstacles you don’t get to play on every day. Outdoor Obstacle Course, Indoor Arena, and Trails.
Cost: $40 per horse and Rider, $10 additional per every added horse. (Half Off to those that attend the Hames Horsemanship Obstacle Clinic on June 8th).

Join us for at Tryon International Equestrian Center for a night of fun to cheer on the horses and riders as they soar over massive jumps and race through the timers. We could all carpool or caravan and meet early for dinner, arrive before 4:00 for free parking. The event is FREE, only fee looks parking after 4:00. Lots of food options and shopping!! Please contact Joelle to RESERVE your spot and time. Certified equine dental team Barbara Brooks and David Kelly will be performing teeth floating and sheath cleaning. Cost is $100 for Teeth/Sheath or if you just need Sheath it’s $30. Please bring CASH or CHECK for payment, as well as some extra cash for our Boot for our two charities! We are keeping this a MEMBERS only event, unless we can’t fill all our time slots. So if you have a friend that needs this service, let Joelle know so we can put them on our reserve list.
This event will be held at Donna and Tim Frye’s farm, plenty of parking, complete pull through. Use 2455 Charlotte Hwy., York, SC in your GPS. When you arrive, use the entrance to the pasture with the gate. Do NOT go down the private drive to the home.

Float the Green River in Saluda, NC

Let’s stay cool floating the Green River at 5200 Green River Cove Rd.,Saluda, NC. We will carpool there and arrive there by 10:00 to start our adventure. After our float which takes about 2-3 hours, we can have lunch in the cute town of Saluda or at the Tryon Equestrian Center! 

Meet us at the Buck’s Grave Road Trailhead at 9:30, riding out by 10:00. No restroom nor water at the trailhead. These trails located in Chester County, SC is surrounded by beautiful wooded floodplain, surrounded by upland pine woods and maturing hardwood forests. Some hills an a few rocky/roots areas. Boots or shoes recommended.

Members come on out to design and make your own hat! You will be transforming one of their stylish hats with a personalized burning technique. Choose your hat color and dive into the creative process, opting between stencil and free hand methods. All under the guidance of our expert instructors. This workshop starts at 10:00, should finished around 12:30-12:45.

Owners Tom and Pat Seay open their home and land for a unique cattle experience. Experienced or novice welcome, you will be guided and mentored by experienced cattle driving and team penning staff.
Lots of history at this old farm, you will want to have this kind of fun without having to go west. The most awesome thing is you bring your own horse.
Power at each site. Community hose for water for your trailer. Stalls for each horse. Small bathhouse on property, but not fancy.

Open Horse Show benefiting Southeastern Guide Dogs. Gates open at 6:00 a.m., start time for show 9:00 a.m. Come join us as we spectate, cheer on or compete while supporting a good cause. Join us as at this fun ride to help AN Issa Anderson raise money to be donated at the AHA (American Heart Association Ride). Day ride or overnight camping available, with some electric hook ups. Cost is $40 for the weekend, plus $10 per day. Stalls are available for $10 per day for smaller stalls and $15 per day for larger paddocks. Attendance for just Saturday is $30 per person. So much fun to be had at Manchester Trail Riders twice a year Event, that raises funds for their care of the trails and campground. The fall event features food, DJ, a band and of course Halloween (trick or treat) for the kiddos, the children are taken around the campground via tractor and trailer. All of us Cowgirls usually dress up for the Saturday trail ride too! Water and power at each site. Minimal stalls available, but plenty of areas to high line or set up portable corrals. Bathhouse on site!
We will have our Boot for donations to our two charities: Cleveland County Hearts and Hooves & Southern Paws Animal Rescue.
Reservations can be made usually about two months prior to the event.
