The FCSC Annual Tack Swap has been set for Saturday, March 9th.  They will be using the same format as last year with both inside and outside spots available to rent.  First space is $25 and extra spaces can be added at $15 each.  This allows for social distancing and was a big help to the success of last year’s event.  For more information contact Jean Lewis at 509-521-8996 or email at [email protected].

What is Rendezvous?? 

It is a state sponsored event put on by Back Country Horsemen of Washington that is open to the public. This is a non-riding event. We offer educational classes, shopping, social and informative events and seminars. There are no fees for anything other than the Saturday nights catered dinner and the on-site camping.

Our Ellensburg Valley Chapter is proud to announce the sponsorship of our local 4-H Club “Stirrups and Irons” this year at Rendezvous. We have 10 anxious kids making plans right now for their 3 Day job running the Hospitality Cart. It has been a pleasure for us working with this group.
When you get anything off the cart please tip and/or donate to the kids.  All tips and donations will go to their Club and this event is a huge fundraiser for their Mission Statement as well!!

ABOUT THE VENUE

Franklin County Saddle Club has lighted arenas, onsite trail course, wash rack, indoor stalls, 24 RV campsites as well as dry campsites, bathhouse with showers.

Easy access from I-82, local accommodations shopping, and restaurants nearby.

EVENT DETAILS

We hope you’ll join us at the beautiful Franklin County Saddle Club for a fun weekend!

  • Friday afternoon, the show office will be available for early check in.
  • Saturday morning we will have an In Hand (IH) – a dismounted event in an arena/field, halter and lead rope preferred. All equines welcome – any size, breed, and age.
  • Saturday afternoon we will have a Obstacle Course (OC) – a mounted event in an arena/field. A saddle (treeless included) and headstall with reins are required. All riding disciplines are welcome.
  • Saturday night, we hope you’ll join us for a fun potluck.  The Saddle Club will supply the main dish, please bring a favorite side dish or dessert.
  • On Sunday, we will have an Obstacle Course (OC) – a mounted event in an arena/field. A saddle (treeless included) and headstall with reins are required. All riding disciplines are welcome.

THE TERRAIN

Excellent dirt footing in all arenas, Onsite trail course is dirt with wood chips some light gravel in areas.

MEALS

Meals are on your own. There are several restaurants nearby and delivery services such as Uber Eats and Door Dash that will deliver to the Saddle Club.

We are also looking on getting food onsite. Competitors will be updated closer to the event. On Saturday, there will be a potluck. We hope you’ll join us.

Event Host Directions:

The Franklin County Saddle Club is located on road 60 between Argent and Court Street.

From Oregon: Take 395 North to Pasco. Take the Court Street exit, turning left on Court. Proceed a few miles to Road 60. Turn right. Saddle Club will be on the right side. Please use the entrance by the Equine Trail Sports sign.

Traveling East on I82: Take Exit 9, Road 68. Turn right on 68 and proceed to Argent. Turn left at Argent and continue to Road 60. Turn right on Road 60. The Saddle Club will be on the left. Please use the entrance by the Equine Trail Sports sign.

Traveling West on I82: Take Exit 9, Road 68. Turn left on 68 and proceed to Argent. Turn left at Argent and continue to Road 60. Turn right on Road 60. The Saddle Club will be on the left. Please use the entrance by the Equine Trail Sports sign.
