Kick summer off with an evening of rodeo action. From the classic event of bareback riding, saddle bronc, the fan favorite of bull riding, the pretty gals and fast horses of barrel racing and all the timed events as well.
Gates open at 6pm and rodeo action kicks off at 7pm.
Enjoy rodeo action at the professional level at the Red Desert Roundup PRCA Rodeo.
From the classic events of Saddle Bronc , bareback, the fan favorite of bull riding, and the pretty girls & fast horses of barrel racing. Don’t forget the classic timed events of team roping, steer wrestling, and calf roping.
Pre Show events may vary but they usually have mutton busting, teen cash scramble, and the adult cash scramble.

FULL PARADE ATTIRE!!!!!!
Please have your 40SC pink blouse, 40SC black jacket, black felt hat or helmet, fuchsia wild rag, blue jeans. Horse needs 40SC black saddle pad, pink polo wraps. Depending on weather you can layer under parade attire. Gloves to be handed out at parade if they are to be used.
Please have your waivered filled out and either back to your Queen or mail them to FWSSR. I have placed the link below for you. They are due by Nov 30th, NO fax or email entries will be excepted. More information as it comes to us will be posted!
- All parade participants must review and sign a Participant Release Form. Release Forms must accompany the organization’s application at time of submission.
- Participants must carefully read and abide by all Parade rules.
- Health Papers: All horses and other equine are required to have proper health papers to participate in the parade or enter staging area. Riders must be in possession of health papers at all times. See ” Official Health Requirements” as provided in the application information for mandatory health requirements on horses and other equine.

Hey Ladies! Join us for our monthly meeting at 6:30pm. Please wear your thinking caps. We want to come up with some camping ideas and hoping find some fun camping to do as a group. Dont forget to bring your $ bills to buy your raffle tickets for the drawing. tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. A free raffle ticket will be given to those that bring a guest (someone who hasnt attended one of our meetings before).

Join in the fun of instructed painting of your own “Gnome”. The $35 ticket includes: 2.5 hours of painting, a 16×20 stretched canvas to take home, your own easel to your on, paint, brushes, and aprons. Also included will help from the art instructor so you can go home loving your new art piece. Don’t forget get some great music. Food and drinks available at your own expense.

1/15/24 Update: Since we had to reschedule the January 13, 2024 FYFS and Browband Workshops to January 27, 2024, Cowgirl Liz has offered to host our January meeting at her house in conjunction with the other events. Our January meeting will be held at 12:30. Immediately following the meeting will be the FYFS workshop and then, browband making.
Please email for location and additional information. This meeting will be held at a private residence, and we will not be publicly posting the address.
Due to weather, this event has been rescheduled from 1/13/24 to 1/27/24.
One of our cowgirls is hosting a equitation workshop at 1 PM at her private residence. At 3 PM, the same member will host a browband making workshop. Space available for 6-10 participants. Cost is about $10 for leather, plus any bling you would like to add.

Let’s get 2024 off to a start. This will be a lunch/meeting gathering. Discussion will be but not limited to: upcoming events, chapter slush fund, HQ updates, and much more. The lodge opens at 6:00 to claim your seats for Bingo. Bingo starts at 6:30- you DO NOT have to be a lodge member to play Bingo.

The cost is $20 for 7 games of 9 cards each for straight Bingo.
During the break, they will run a 50/50 and do Queen of Hearts. Everyone can play the 50/50 but only members can play the Queen of Hearts.
You must play all first 7 games to play the Blackout at the end. The cost to play Blackout is $5 for 12 cards.

March is going to be a busy month, lets kick it off with our monthly round-up. Join us at 6:30pm for snacks and catching up, meeting will start at 7:15pm.
Annual Wine and Food Classic will have some of your returning favorites and some new producers, including 50+ of the regions best wineries, chefs, bakers, breweries, distilleries, artists, artisans and musicians. All proceeds go to support children’s education.
To those of us who have volunteered or want to volunteer for the St Paul Rodeo, there will be a short informational meeting March 9th @ 10am.
We will be riding from Gentry Wimberely’s house to Canyon Road Bar and Grill. This will be a 6-7 mile ride with drink stops if needed. we are planning to unload at Gentrys then convoying trucks and trailers to Canyon Road we will have a cowgirl uber to take the drivers who are also riding back to the horses. Rendezvous is a state sponsored event put on by Back Country Horsemen of Washington that is open to the public. This is a non-riding event. We offer educational classes, shopping, social and informative events and seminars. There are no fees for anything other than the Saturday nights catered dinner and the on-site camping. “Cops & Dobbers” is Sweetwater County’s way of giving back to a fallen officer from the Sheridan Police Department.
Sheridan Police Officer Sgt. Nevada Krinkee was killed in the line of duty on 2/13/24. Sgt. Krinkee leaves behind a loving wife and family.
The Green River Police Department, Rock Springs Police Department, and the Sweetwater County’s Sheriff’s Office are hosting a night of Bingo, silent auction, and raffles. All funds raised will be donated to Sgt. Krinkee family.
The Food Dude will be providing for purchase as well as drinks will be available.

Candi Jean will be here on March 30th for a boot fitting clinic. Candi Jean will be fitting Scoot Boots and Easy Care Boots, for the best fitting horses should be trimmed 2 weeks prior. Enjoy an evening of painting a “Highland Cow”. There are two nights available Wednesday April 3rd or Thursday April 5th, your choice.
Painting starts at 6pm and runs until 8:30pm.
The $35 class fee includes: 2.5 hours of painting with an instructor, 16 x 20 stretched canvas that you get to take home, your own easel to work on, all the paint and brushes needed, along with an apron. Don’t worry they have stencils and the instructor is available to help as well. Don’t forget to bring some extra cash for drinks and food.
