Drill team, trick riding, cowboy history, parade of hounds, fox hunting, mounted archery, trail safety, vendors. This expo covers it all. Come out and support the SC horse council. 10am to 4pm.

Cowgirls we’re going to ride Saturday at Fell Hunt Camp, 1369 Cedar Springs Rd, Bradley, SC. You can start either at the Fell camp or from Toni Vonruden’s house 181 Tuck Rd, Bradley SC., at the top of the trail. Camp if you like, primitive. 10$. We will have a chili dinner at Toni”s when we arrive there. If you’re leaving from campground, be ready to ride at 11am. Annual Wine and Food Classic will have some of your returning favorites and some new producers, including 50+ of the regions best wineries, chefs, bakers, breweries, distilleries, artists, artisans and musicians. All proceeds go to support children’s education.

Candi Jean will be here on March 30th for a boot fitting clinic. Candi Jean will be fitting Scoot Boots and Easy Care Boots, for the best fitting horses should be trimmed 2 weeks prior. Trinity Trail Events founder Maral Eckenrod will conduct an instructional clinic on how to navigate the mountain trail obstacles at Flying M Stables, which were built by Mark Bolender of Bolender Horse Park. If you trail ride or have thought of competing at a Novice, Intermediate, or Advanced Level of Equine Trail Sports events (ETS) or other obstacle challenges such as IMTCA events (International Mountain Trail Challenge Association), here is where you can start! Maral will lead us through how to acclimate your horse to the obstacle, navigate it properly, and what judges are looking for.
Trinity Trail Events also conducts virtual challenges using just a few items (ground poles, tarp, cones, flag, spray bottle) that you may have at home. You will receive the pattern and have a window of time to practice and video you and your horse navigating the obstacles, submit your video to Maral, who will judge it, provide comments if you want, and award prizes, including buckles. TTE has Novice, Intermediate, Advanced and Easy Peasy patterns to get you started in this field!
Depending on sign-ups for the clinic, the plan is for 2 hours of In-Hand instruction and practice and 2 hours of mounted instruction and practice. If more than 12 horse/rider pairs sign-up, then it may be changed to 2 groups, with 1 hour each of In-Hand and Mounted work.
Cost: $60 per horse/rider pair, includes haul-in fee of $35 ; $5 per auditor

This one day clinic will be headed up by Martha Peddicord at JandA Stables in Donalds SC. She will go over how different bits work in horses mouth, choosing the best bit for you and your horse, how to balance your saddle to improve your comfort and safety. Let’s ride in beautiful NC. South Mountain Park has it all. you must reserve a horse stall separately in order to stay in equestrian camp. They have bedding, water, electric. showers. Join us for a fundraiser trail ride with our partners BCHSC. We’ll ride from Fell hunt camp to Parsons Mountain recreation area. Lunch will be served by the lake . Saxons food truck will serve lunch. Ride out at 10am. Proceeds are going to restore the hitching rails at the lake.

noon – BBQ lunch begins, hosted by the St Paul Jaycees, for participants after the Trail Ride.
All participants must sign up ahead of time. Parking lot on Rodeo Grounds will be open for trailer parking. Riders, please check in at the Rodeo entry office and pick up a back number before the ride. Experienced riders on safe horses are welcome. Ride covers approximately 8 miles and takes 2-3 hours.
