1/15/24 Update: Since we had to reschedule the January 13, 2024 FYFS and Browband Workshops to January 27, 2024, Cowgirl Liz has offered to host our January meeting at her house in conjunction with the other events. Our January meeting will be held at 12:30. Immediately following the meeting will be the FYFS workshop and then, browband making.
Please email for location and additional information. This meeting will be held at a private residence, and we will not be publicly posting the address.

Since we are all trying to save some $$s for one reason or another, Maria and Whispering Oaks Farm & Ranch have offered to Host a barn “Watch Party” for The American Performance Horseman. (The Globe Life tickets with any decent view are high, and their refreshments are as well.) This competition will be aired by Fox Sports 1, so check your local listings.
The greats will be in class competitions, including but not limited to, Casey Deary, Cade McCutcheon, Sarah Dawson, Andrea Fappani, Corey Cushing and Jason Vanlandingham!! There are 5 designated Teams of 3 each competing, so this will take a while. In the meantime, so much fun to be had!! Contact Maria or me for details. Bring your favorite chairs and dress as needed for the barn and weather!!

Farmersville Chapter will be attending the Ultimate Ranch Show offering: AQHA Versatility. APHA Ranch Classes, and ApHC Ranch Classes! Please join us to cheer on our individual Members as well as to audit and learn more about all classes. RV hookups are available. Contact them at 940-627-3949.
Come join us May 10th and 11th at Connors State College’s Fred Williams Arena in Warner, OK, for their First Annual OAQHA VRH Show!!! You know it will be a great time with Great Friends… we will have lots of laughs, regardless. Our challenge this month is to wear your favorite Summer straw hat for an fantastic group picture. That is your personal inspiration and preference. Invite a Horse Friend and come on to meet us, so we can meet you!!
This is one date of an Annual, multiple date Buckle Show Series (12 show dates in 2024) with 9 Divisions and 7 Classes. Classes include Ranch Halter, Ranch Rail, Ranch Pleasure, Ranch Reining, Ranch Riding, Ranch Trail, and Mechanical Cow-work. Must compete in at least 6 of the total 12 shows to qualify for Year-End Placings! $100 Flat Fee per Division. Join us to watch 40SC Cowgirls compete or just come to observe and learn.

Karen Wiggins will be Hosting this Roundup and providing hospitality for a relaxed evening. We want everyone to bring your favorite “Salad” for dinner. This could be a meat (like taco), or veggie, or pasta, or fruit salad. Please message Karen to let her know what you might bring so that we can cover the basics. Our challenge this month is BYOB (Bring Your Own Beverage)! Invite a new Horse Friend and come on to meet us!!
Watch it with us… the 2024 RUN FOR A MILLION!!! Bring a chair and BYOB and your significant other… whatever makes you happy and settle back for a fun evening to watch the big screen telecast of this event under A/C! Jennie’s husband, JP, will be smoking a brisket for us. So, again bring sides or appetizers that you feel will work well together!? And in final summary, our participating Members will wrap up their competition 2024 year back at Henderson County Fair Grounds in Athens!!! Come out and cheer them on! Your appearance and support is greatly appreciated!
As our interest grows and our Chapter Members develop their Ranch Competition skills, we will continue to participate in this great East Texas Stock Horse association!! Join us there for a fun, event-filled weekend. Pick your Classes, enter at your level, participate and learn. Monthly Clinics are often held to offer knowledge and training improvements.
