Cowgirls it’s time for our February roundup meeting.  Bring your ideas for up coming events, they can be horse or non horse.

EVENT LOCATION UPDATED!

Bring a friend, your ideas for events and fundraisers! We will be doing a pot luck (facility is also BYOB) during the meeting. Afterwards there will be axe throwing, archery, corn hole & darts! Please let us know if you are able to make it day of so that we can plan the potluck and let the venue know a head count.

Meeting at the Alumni Building before we start coggins clinic over at Fairgrounds. Please bring your suggestions and ideas for rides, camping trips, summer horse swimming, and Christmas parties. I truly want to set up a Christmas gathering date at this meeting. And I want to discuss the amazing success our chapter has had and the positive impacts we are making in our community.

Macon County Horse Association meeting.  The general meeting begins at 7 pm, all cowgirl members will meet at the Alumni building

Come join us for our monthly meeting at Cowgirl Tammys house.  We will discuss past events and plan future adventures.  Cowgirl Tammy is gonna cook dinner, so please feel free to bring a beverage and or a dessert… All are welcome

Join us for our monthly round-up meeting at Queen Sharry’s.  Meet and chat at 6:30pm meeting will start at 7:15pm

ALL ABOARD!!

Let somebody else take care of the cooking with this 2.5 hour ride and delicious brunch buffet.

Ticket includes, brunch buffet, coffee, water, hot tea.

Adults = $62 / Seniors = $54

They have a bar car that houses a full bar to serve up craft beer, mimosas, bloody marys and so much more.

They will run this ride rain or shine, please come dressed for the weather.

Train leaves at 10 am – Plan to arrive no later than 9:30 AM!

If you are wanting to purchase tickets please go to: Upcoming Rides – Santiam Excursion Trains (santiamexcursions.com) and purchase for the date listed on this event.  When you get towards to end of checking out there will be an option to put in if you would like to be put with another group.  Please put 40 Something Cowgirls in that spot so we can all sit together.

Queen Amber is hosting a Kentucky Derby Party!

This is the 150th Kentucky Derby presented by Woodford Reserve.  It is the world’s Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports.  And this year, the excitement is bigger than ever!

Finger Sandwiches and Mint Juleps will be served.

Dawn your Big Hat and your Brightest dress.  Awards to the best hat and overall outfit.

Come join us for our May monthy round-up meeting, it will be at Queen Sharry’s house at 6:30pm on May 8th.  We will be going over some St Paul volunteer information, we have some fun events coming up and Corporate has a special request for us.   Our new 40 Something Cowgirl (volunteer) hats will be here soon.  We would like to get a photo of the volunteers in their cute new hats, Corporate would like to see all your pretty faces.

Rickreall, Polk County Fairgrounds

The Polk County Master Gardener Association Plant Sale is coming up Friday, May 10th 9:00 to 4:00 and Saturday, May 11th, 9:00 t0 2:00.

Cheers to the returning Country Store, beautiful annuals, trees and shrubs, perennials, herbs, hanging baskets and a few specialty plants.

They are adding a new children’s area this year where children will, for $1, be able to plant a Marigold in a colorful plastic pot for their mom and take home a small scoop of Marigold seeds to plant in their yard. This table will be staffed by members of one of their 4H Horticulture groups who will also have information on the 4H groups in Polk County to give to kids who come to the table.

They will also have 5 to 6 raffle items to be raffled off on Saturday at noon.
