If the weather is nice, lets meet at the Mountain View Park, under the pavilion.  Monday, June 24th, 6:00 P.M.  Bring a lawn chair just in case the pavilion is occupied.  If the weather doesn’t want to play nice, we’ll head over to the BV Senior Center.  We need to discuss upcoming events, including the obstacle course competition.  Hope to see everyone there.

Mountain View Chapter – Annual 4th of July, Fort Bridger Parade @ Fort Bridger Main Street / American Legion

American Legion post 36 is hosting the Annual Independence Day Parade and BBQ. Line up will begin at 8:00 please register inside the Legion Hall for lineups. Parade begins at 11:00 then the BBQ will be served following the parade at the Legion Hall.
We are implementing a few new rules this year due to insurance purposes we ask that if you have a horse to please provide 3rd party insurance for your horses. Secondly if you are planning on giving out candy or other items to the crowd you will not be able to throw them from your vehicle or float, You may however have someone walk along side of your float and hand it out. Please be mindful of your surroundings and stay safe this 4th of July weekend!!

Mountain View Chapter – Uinta County 4-H Horse Show @ Lyman Arena
Jul 15 @ 6:00 pm – 11:00 pm

Fun & educational experience.  Registration ends July 12th.  Entry fee is $10.00/horse + $3.00/class.  Complete registration form on 4H.ZSUITE.ORG.  Youth must be 8+ years, registered, and in good standing with Uinta County 4-H.  Youth must have passed safety certification with each horse prior to the show.

AVAILABLE CLASSES: BARRELS – POLES – KEYHOLE – CATTLE BOXING

Mountain View Chapter – Monthly Roundup/Meeting @ Mountain View Park

Queen Contest is judged based on horsemanship, personality, and impromptu questions.  Age Divisions: Princess 6-9 years.  Jr. Queen 10-13 years.  Queen 14-18 years.  Call or text Staci Powell (307-780-7812).  Entries July 6-10.

Hosted by Fiesta & Cowboy Gathering, A weekend of ranch style, big loop scored roping, stockhorse competition, dutch oven cooking, and so much more!!

Prineville Halloween Trail/Costume Challlenge @ Deschutes County Sheriff's Posse trail course
Oct 26 @ 10:00 am – 4:00 pm

The public is invited to come play on the posse’s trail course with prizes for the best costume (awarded at NOON).

Divisions:  12 and under, 1-17, and 18+    Top costume in each division wins $50!

Register at the clubhouse as you enter the property and signn a waiver before unloading your horse.  Potable water and restrooms are available, but bring your own chair and food.
