"funn-est bunch of horsewomen on the planet!"

wylie, TX

est. 2021

We are a fun, vibrant group of women in our 20s, 30s, 40s and beyond who share a passion for the Western lifestyle, friendship, and adventure. Based in the beautiful town of Wylie, TX, our chapter is all about celebrating the cowgirl spirit—whether we’re riding horses, enjoying local events, or just having fun together. We believe in empowering each other, making lasting memories, and embracing life with confidence, laughter, and a whole lot of heart.

Join us in Wylie, TX, where we saddle up, support each other, and live life the cowgirl way—strong, bold, and full of joy!

Upcoming events

    • July 01, 2026
    • July 31, 2026

This month, we’re celebrating the women who make the ride better.

July’s theme is Side by Side, and it’s not about how far you ride or how many miles you cover. It’s about the laughter, encouragement, conversations, and friendships that happen along the way.

This month, we invite you to connect with another 40 Something Cowgirl. Ride together, grab lunch, welcome someone new, reconnect with a sister you haven’t seen in a while, or simply reach out with a kind word.

Some of the best memories are not made because of where we rode. They are made because of who rode beside us.

    July Prompt:
Who has made your journey better?

Share a photo with a fellow 40 Something Cowgirl and tell us how she has impacted your journey.

    Ride on, side by side.

Share a photo and tell us about the ride, place, or moment that helped you reconnect with the freedom horses bring to your life.

    To participate:

1️Register for the June Sisterhood Series Challenge in the Wild Apricot app

2️Ride Free—however that looks for you

3️Share your photo and story in the 40 Something Cowgirls Facebook Group

Include your location or tag your chapter when you post.

Your story may inspire another Cowgirl to saddle up, take a deep breath, and remember why she rides.

We can't wait to see where your adventures take you.

Come out and join us as we explore the Hunt County Sheriffs Office. We have been invited to see what the Posse is all about.

Terri with the Sheriff's Posse is reaching out to gain new members that are interested in being part of something bigger. The group is getting older and most are not able to ride much any more. Terri knows most of the Wylie chapter and has invited us to come out and join us if interested.

They have practices at Cedar Creek Run in Greenville at 3915 Old Mill Rd.

They are a VOLUNTEER police/ civilian mounted patrol group that assists police officers. They help with crowd control, police escorts, search & rescue, parades, grand entries and they also run desensitization clinics.

They had a fairly active Facebook page if you'd like to check them out.

Depending on the amount of people that do not want to ride, we may have a float. If we do have a float, you will need to then walk over to Farmersville Pkwy where we will have the trailer for staging.

We will determine the dress attire for the parade but if we have a float, those of you riding on it will need your trusty Stick Ponies. (yep you read that right, stick ponies lol)

Please be there at 3:00 pm to decorate your horse. If we have a float, please be there at 4pm, on the trailer by 4:15. Judging starts at 5:00 pm. Top 3 float drawing at 5:30. Parade starts at 6.

Afterwards, join us for dinner. Location is TBD
