Benbrook TX- Participating in Cowgirl Colors Community Celebration

The Cowgirl invited members of the Fort Worth community to take part in “Cowgirl Colors, A Community Canvas,” art project celebrating the cowgirl and the exciting expansion of the Museum.

“Cowgirl Colors, A Community Canvas” focuses on bringing the community together through art by inviting participants to paint 8 x 8-inch wooden panels inspired by the theme of cowgirls and the western lifestyle. The completed panels will become part of a vibrant public art installation spelling the word “COWGIRL” across a custom-installed fence at Alice Walton Park, located just south of the National Cowgirl Museum & Hall of Fame and across the street from Dickies Arena.

Supported by Linbeck Construction, this colorful installation will reflect the creativity, stories, and shared pride of the Fort Worth community while honoring the enduring legacy of cowgirls who have shaped the West.

Participation in the art project was free and open to the public. Community members of all ages and artistic skill levels were encouraged to take part. As a token of the museum's appreciation, we are invited for an afternoon of photos, complimentary refreshments, giveaways and more.
