Have you ever wondered what bridle your horse rides best in? Does the bridle you use achieve the goals you have for riding? Should you introduce a new bridle to your horse? How would you safely go about doing that? Join us for a very informative clinic where I will discuss how bridles, hackamores, and equine headgear in general actually works!
Topics for discussion are: Headstalls, Snaffle bits, Curb or leverage bits, Signal bits, Curb straps and curb chains, and Rein types and uses I will have several bits of various types and design as well as, hackamores and such. I will show you how each works, why you would want to use them and when. We'll discuss the reasons why one might work better than others, and how to transition a horse safely to a new bit. Direct reining and neck reining will be discussed along with which bits are for each type. Finally, we'll cover what bits are legal to use for shows and classes with an emphasis on the Ranch Horse classes. There will be plenty of time for questions, so please come with them!
You will not need to bring a horse to this clinic, since I will provide a horse and demonstrate how I use each bit. Please bring a lawn chair or something comfortable to sit on.
Cost for the clinic is $100 and is limited to 10 people.
