Hope all can join us for a focused and intimate Horseman Clinic on Sat, Sep 13th from 1pm till 5pm over at Cowboy Town Arena located at 4776 Nebula Rd in Warm Springs GA. Clinic will be taught by Floyd “Tik” Gibbons (Summer Moseley’s Dad) who has vast amounts of training and experience in the equine world (See below for specifics and details). The Clinic will focus on groundwork essentials, moving the front end and hindquarters, backing up, addressing resistance, mounting with acceptance, working with proper use of the headstall (bit) to create softness, improve steering and speed control as well as learning how to speak thru your body (not just your hands and heels) and understanding how your horse thinks. Cost for this clinic is $95 each for four riders/horses in the arena and $15 each for spectators who will be allowed to sit in the first level of the arena at the bleacher and picnic table seats which will allow you to be included in the Q&A afterwards. There is free seating around the arena and near the restaurant as well. Tik’s experience and background: He was raised on a cattle ranch and his father was also a rodeo cowboy. His job growing up was handling horses. Once he left home, he completed a two-year apprenticeship program at Sitting Rock Arabian Farm. From there, he continued his training by working at Zodiac Arabian Farm. Additionally, he trained at Gene LeCroix schooling horses for the showring. He taught people and horses for trail, endurance racing, dressage, cross country, barrel racing, harness-cart horses, and show ring. He also trained quarter mile racehorses as well as standard bred harness racehorses. Gonna be a great clinic so get your registration in sooner than later by emailing arena@cowboytownga.com.  In the event of rain on the 13th, the clinic will be held the following day.
