Abilene, TX- Attending Western Heritage Classic Parade

The 40 Something Cowgirls are exceptionally excited for one of the biggest parades of the year! The Western Heritage Classic Parade has been a staple for our Abilene Chapter for many years! We have been so lucky to have so many other chapters come ride and place in the In Town Riding Clubs category!

Here's what we need to know about this year's Western Heritage Classic Parade.

First, and always, proof of negative coggins is mandatory. Event staff will absolutely check it. 

Arrive early. The parade starts at 6:30 pm. Line up no later than 5:30 pm. Typically, this is a really warm or even hot day at this parade, so please stay hydrated.

Parade attire:  White straw hats, 40SC pink wild rag, 40SC pink parade shirt, dark jeans, western boots.

Horse tack and attire: Western leather tack only in this western themed parade. Western saddle, 40SC saddle blanket, 40SC pink polo wraps on front legs only. Please have your horse well groomed and understand that this is a very popular and loud event. 

Do to the construction on Cypress Street, there will not be a street dance after the parade this year.
