Our Marvelous Mavericks are coming together for a fun filled retreat weekend! There are lots details and we expect to have more ideas added to our itinerary.
First things first, please tap the "Going" button to stay up to date with retreat information. Unfortunately, not all chapter members will make it, so details will mainly be updated in this event page.
Our Marvelous Mavericks Chapter Retreat will be at the beautiful Lazy TK Ranch. Included with our stay is use of the bunkhouse (sleeps 12-13), 6 trailer hookups, stalls to accommodating one horse for each guest, and water for horses.
We also have access to a nice big arena, trails and campfire! Here's the plan! Please arrive at Lazy TK at 3pm or shortly after.
Bunkhouse beds are first come first served. Please note the first room on the right is reserved for our dear friends and entertainment Friday night, Devon & Teressa. Devon Dawson and Teressa Burleson are both very talented artists in the DFW area! You know Devon as Jesse the Yodeling Cowgirl on the Toy Story soundtrack. Teressa Burleson is an award winning Cowgirl Poet. We may gather around the firepit Friday, or enjoy the Livingroom in the bunkhouse.
Dinner Friday will be potluck. Please look out for a comment thread on this page to tell everyone what we plan to bring. We will pitch in to clean up dinner.
Saturday morning Queen Pat, Princess Cheryl, and Roxanne are going to make breakfast for us. *Thank You Ladies* For Lunch we can grab some leftovers or roast some hotdogs over the fire.
Lissa Hurlbert will be offering massages Saturday from 12:30-5. Her rates are $40/half hour and $75/hour. It is worth it! Please let Queen Pat know you would like to book a massage to be added to the list. Massage payments go directly to Lissa.
Saturday's dinner will be at Canyon Barn and Grill. This restaurant is nearby with a dance floor and great eats! This will be on your own tab.
Lets plan either a trail ride or arena games for Saturday. We are open to suggestions! Sunday morning breakfast will be continental style. Please chip in to clean up and put dishes away as we will be checking out by 12:00.
Lets get you signed up for your spot! There is a $125 cost for all included above. Checks may be made payable to 40 Something Cowgirls or cash may be handed to any of our Royals for convenience. Princess Cheryl will be collecting all payments. We can't wait to share laughs, create memories and grow closer as cowgirl sisters this 2025 Marvelous Mavericks Chapter Retreat! See y'all there!
