Marysville, WA - Unofficial Virtual Tevis (May 23, 2026)

The official virtual Tevis started April 23 — 100 miles between April 23 and August 2 with your horse!

We may be a little behind, so we’re turning this into a fun group challenge by tracking our horse time on Equilab. Time can include grooming, trimming feet, groundwork, lunging, riding, walking, and other horse activities — everything except feeding and cleaning stalls.

We’ll have two top prizes:

1. Most total hours spent working with your horse
2. Most miles ridden or walked with your horse(s)

We have a group on Equilab, so if you’d like to be added, please contact Tina. If you have questions, feel free to ask!

Welcome to the Sisterhood Series Challenge! June's theme: Ride Free

This year-long experience was created for one simple reason: none of us were meant to do life alone.

At 40 Something Cowgirls, sisterhood is the heartbeat of who we are. It’s showing up, lifting each other up, caring for ourselves and our communities, and choosing connection over isolation.

Each month, you’ll be invited into a new, optional challenge focused on encouragement, reflection, service, and growth. No pressure. No perfection. Loud or quiet, public or private — it all counts.

June Sisterhood Series Challenge – Ride Free

Summer is here, and this month's challenge is all about reconnecting with the reason we started this journey in the first place.

Not the ribbons.
Not the scores.
Not the endless to-do lists.

Just you, your horse, and the freedom that comes from being together.

This month, we invite you to Ride Free.

Take time to ride outside, explore a new trail, enjoy a quiet sunset ride, or simply spend a few extra moments appreciating the partnership you share with your horse.

Ask yourself:

✨ Where do you feel most free?
✨ What part of riding brings you the most joy?
✨ How has your horse helped you find freedom, confidence, or peace?

We do all kinds of activities, including clinics, trail rides, horse play days, attend expos, see movies, have craft parties, and anything else that's fun! New faces are always welcome.

Equestrian trail obstacle training and play days at Bridle Trails State Park are hosted by the Lake Washington Saddle Club.

Riders of all experience levels bring their horses to safely navigate a variety of recreational and confidence-building obstacles.These events act as casual, low-pressure practice sessions where participants can make their own schedules and go at their own pace.

Key Event & Course Details:

Dates & Scheduling: The Lake Washington Saddle Club typically holds its trail obstacle and riding events multiple times a year (with major play days usually scheduled in the spring and summer).

The Course: The club developed and maintains the Acheson Obstacle Course within the state park.Preparation: Obstacle work is designed to improve a horse's calmness, balance, and trust in its rider by utilizing real-world terrain and challenges.

Register today and join us for a great ride and a glass of wine. Pre-registration closes Thursday 8/6 at Noon. Register and be entered in the Gift Card raffle and the Day Of raffle.

This is our prize ride with wine tasting afterwards. There will be two raffles to accommodate both pre-registration and those who come the day of. Those who pre-register will be entered into a gift card raffle processed the night before the event so that they will receive their prize when they check in. The deadline for that raffle is noon on Thursday August 6th. For those who register after the deadline or on the day of the event, a second raffle will be held at the event. it will include both gift cards and other prizes. Cost is: Entry fee & 3/raffle ticket $25, Entry fee & 1 ticket $10. First rider out at 9am, last rider out at 1:00pm.

Come and enjoy a lovely trail ride on marked trails and then have a glass of wine. Wine will cost $5 a glass. Light snacks will be served.

Marysville, Wa - Tuscany Horseback Vacation (March 31, 2027)

We are putting together a horse riding holiday in Tuscany, Italy for mid-April 2027 and wanted to spread the word to my horse-loving friends.

It’s a week-long Tuscan Trail ride through ancient villages, vineyards, forests, and even along the beach—pretty much a dream ride for any cowgirl.

We already have four confirmed riders from the Forty Something Cowgirls Club, which means three saddles still open. I’m sharing this in case you (or someone you know) might want to join us.

Heads up on timing: the tour company will confirm their schedule in late March, and once they do, we’ll only have 24–48 hours to book before the remaining spots go public. This ride is capped at seven riders total, so it’ll fill fast.

Bonus fun: a few of us are planning to arrive three days early to explore Rome before heading to the ranch—totally optional but a great excuse for extra adventure.
