Offered at Coyle Outside, Corvallis

This free workshop is open to all women and girls high school age or above. This class will cover basic map and compass skills as well as some of the more useful and easy to learn natural navigation methods using the sun, plant life and ground moisture to interpret direction. We will do some short practice in route finding and discuss how to avoid and then resolve getting lost. This is the third in a series of preparatory classes for our Women’s Wilderness Intensive Expedition, March 23-28, with Jessie Krebs of the SERE Training School. Each second Sunday of 2019 through March we will host a 4 hour skill-building session for Women. Please RSVP as space is limited and bring appropriate outdoor clothing and food. We will be sheltered and have a fire. Bring your own compass or use one of ours.
