“Tie Hack: The First Years” Adventure Trek June 29 9-2pm
Join the Dubois Museum Tuesday, June 29, 9am-2pm for this Wind River Visitors Council Adventure Trek Series program.
Come explore the gorgeous views and amazing history of the Upper Wind River Valley!
Join us for a trek exploring the Tie Hack history around Lava Mountain and Triangle C Ranch west of Dubois. You will learn about the railroad ties that were cut and used for the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad between Lander, WY and Blunt, SD. Visitors will see gorgeous views and tie hack ruins from the tie hacking days of Dubois, WY.
Moderate hiking, bear spray, bug spray, hiking boots, trekking poles, water, and lunch are required. Social distancing will be encouraged.
