Mounted orienteering is one of the most challenging and exciting equestrian sports! It is similar to a treasure hunt that tests your horsemanship and map and compass skills. Bring a compass, hit the trail with friends, and enjoy the hunt.
DIRECTIONS: From TriCities take I-82 West towards Yakima, after 64 miles take exit 38
towards Union Gap. Continue onto Main Street, then turn left onto W Ahtanum Rd and continue
on for approximately 29 miles where the pavement ends and the road turns to gravel, shortly
thereafter you will see the Whites Ridge Trailhead parking area on the left.

Overnight camping available at no additional cost, spots are first come first serve and have
hitching posts for the horses. Using the trees in the campground for highlines is prohibited.
Unfortunately, the water for horses is currently broken so please bring any water you might
