Canby Games events will be held at Clackamas County Fair grounds in Canby, OR. Entries Close at 8:30 and the show starts at 9. If you would like to ride in the main arena before the show please do so before 8:30. We have 2 series’ fall (September, October, and November) and spring (February, March, April) There are 3 Divisions: Regular, Novice, and Open. Novice is classified as any rider that HAS NOT won ANY equine buckle or won over $500 in any gaming event. We have 6 age groups: lead line: 5 and under (must wear helmets, be led by someone 16 or older, 3 as of Jan 1st. to go faster than a walk, ONLY do barrels and Key Race ) Pee Wee: 6-9, Junior: 10-13, Intermediate: 14-18, Senior: 19-39, Super Senior: 40 and over. Cost for classes: Novice and Regular: $30, Open: $35, Leadline: $10, Time only: $5 per event, Non-Members: $5. We do Hi-point and Reserve Hi-point to each class at the end of each show EXCEPT lead line, you DO NOT need to be a member to receive these awards. At the end of each series we also do awards to top 5 in each class, Except lead line (lead line gets a ribbon at each show and a trophy at the final show), to qualify for year end awards you MUST be a member. Membership costs: Family (anyone living in the same household) $45, Adults (18 and over) $25, Youth (under 17) $20. We DO NOT take pre-entries, everything is sign-up at the show. We run 5 events in order: Barrels, Key Race, (Lunch break), Poles, Idaho Figure 8, and NSCA Flags. All events (excluding Barrels) are ran in 2 Lanes with the gate open (you must enter and exit in control or you will be given a No time), you have 30 seconds once your name is called to be on course or you will be given a No time, Judges will have their hand raised when you may start your course, NO abusive whipping, spurring, or psychical abuse is allowed this is determined by the judge and may be disqualified in the event and/or day. You can ONLY run 1 horse in your age group, all others you wish to ride must be ridden in time only. No horse can run more than once per class, this means if you have 2 kids in the Novice class they cant share a horse, one must bump to Regulars. We look forward to seeing you at the next show!
