Show has 10 Divisions , collegiate competition , Ranch Cutting, and AQHA Ranch Riding .

Thurs Feb 29th Boxing only clinic 1-2pm & 2-3pm $50/per person
Paid Cow practice w/ coaching with fresh cows 3:30-7pm $85.00 / cow
Friday March 1st Stock horse Clinic with all 4 classes $130.00/ person

Since we are all trying to save some $$s for one reason or another, Maria and Whispering Oaks Farm & Ranch have offered to Host a barn “Watch Party” for The American Performance Horseman. (The Globe Life tickets with any decent view are high, and their refreshments are as well.) This competition will be aired by Fox Sports 1, so check your local listings.
The greats will be in class competitions, including but not limited to, Casey Deary, Cade McCutcheon, Sarah Dawson, Andrea Fappani, Corey Cushing and Jason Vanlandingham!! There are 5 designated Teams of 3 each competing, so this will take a while. In the meantime, so much fun to be had!! Contact Maria or me for details. Bring your favorite chairs and dress as needed for the barn and weather!!

Come join us May 10th and 11th at Connors State College’s Fred Williams Arena in Warner, OK, for their First Annual OAQHA VRH Show!!! This is one date of an Annual, multiple date Buckle Show Series (12 show dates in 2024) with 9 Divisions and 7 Classes. Classes include Ranch Halter, Ranch Rail, Ranch Pleasure, Ranch Reining, Ranch Riding, Ranch Trail, and Mechanical Cow-work. Must compete in at least 6 of the total 12 shows to qualify for Year-End Placings! $100 Flat Fee per Division. Join us to watch 40SC Cowgirls compete or just come to observe and learn.

Watch it with us… the 2024 RUN FOR A MILLION!!! Bring a chair and BYOB and your significant other… whatever makes you happy and settle back for a fun evening to watch the big screen telecast of this event under A/C! Jennie’s husband, JP, will be smoking a brisket for us. So, again bring sides or appetizers that you feel will work well together!? Action starts at 8pm, we are just planning a little early to get everything set up. Landmark to her address is “Old Big Red Barn”. As Rhonda Martin would say, this is going to “EPIC”!
We are planning a Halloween Costume Parade Practice in the neighborhood of Whispering Oaks Farm & Ranch!! Our purpose is two-fold… to discuss Standard Parade Requirements, and to have some FUN while exposing all horses to parade activities!! After you turn from Hwy 1529, look for the 40SC Banner and turn right into the large Outdoor Arena entrance. Come early, be ready to ride out, and start our Parade Discussion by 10:00AM sharp. Then, we will ride out on Parade Route at 11:00AM. Please, no delays and lack of preparation. We want to see you in your best Costume and full attire! We are planning to have neighbors judge all entries!! WE WILL HAVE PRIZES!! And probably go afterward into Cooper for late lunch!?
And in final summary, our participating Members will wrap up their competition 2024 year back at Henderson County Fair Grounds in Athens!!! Come out and cheer them on! Your appearance and support is greatly appreciated!
As our interest grows and our Chapter Members develop their Ranch Competition skills, we will continue to participate in this great East Texas Stock Horse association!! Join us there for a fun, event-filled weekend. Pick your Classes, enter at your level, participate and learn. Monthly Clinics are often held to offer knowledge and training improvements.
