Kings Mountain, NC Obstacle Play Day @ Judi Vogt’s Home
May 11 @ 11:00 am – 2:00 pm

Obstacle Play Day at Judi Vogt’s farm located at 105 Tibor Drive, Kings Mountain, NC. Drive all the way to the end of the black top road. You will go through an open iron gate and see the arena, barn and parking on your left.

This event is from 11:00 – 2:00 and is no charge but donations are appreciated for our charity for 2024.

Obstacle play days are a great time to expose your horse and maybe you, to things you’ve not experienced. You will go at your own pace and ask for help from your peers at anytime. We are all happy to help!

We have had a great turnout in the past for play days, so to ensure we have enough parking for everyone, try to carpool if possible. Also, RSVP on the event, as we will keep a list of attendees and may have to limit our numbers.

Kings Mountain, NC Arena Ride
Jun 28 @ 9:00 am – 1:00 pm
Please join us  for a Patriotic Ride to honor those we love who have sacrificed to serve our blessed nation. It will be a short, simple pattern (just over 3 minutes) ridden in an arena, led by a rider carrying an American flag, and recorded on video. A patriotic song that honors our service men and women and acknowledges God, will be added afterwards. The video will then be shared with each participant.
The date is next Friday, June 28, 2024, at a private farm near Waxhaw, NC. Please arrive by 9am and be tacked up and ready to meet in the barn at 930am to review the pattern, which will basically be follow the leader! Then we’ll go to the arena and practice 2 or 3 times and be ready to record at 10am, finishing by 11am, to take advantage of the morning shade on part of the arena.
Current Coggins, proof of up-to-date vaccines, and a signed waiver are required by the farm.
Please message Marcia Wakefield via email at [email protected] if you want to participate and we will share the farm location and other pertinent details such as Astaire. Bring a lunch and we’ll sit in the shade afterwards to eat and visit. Look forward to riding with you!

KINNEAR, WY Sunday Fun Day @ D&D Livestock
Aug 11 @ 7:00 am – 12:00 pm

All-righty!! Sunday Funday is next week! August 11th!!!

What’s that, you ask?

Well… You bring your horse, and you grab something that can be a task or obstacle. 7-8am show up at D&D Livestock (outdoor arena), drop your obstacle/task item, and we will walk through at 8:05am. Folks explain their obstacle in the walkthrough. Then give space to each other, take your horse through on the ground to work any obstacle. Then, dewater or take care of any creature comforts, then we’ll have a horse & rider come through. We’ll make intervals so it’s a no pressure, have fun, try something new or old, and cheer each other on. Bring your coffee, bring a snack or your lunch—up to you to feed & refresh yourself.

Please NO dogs! Leave them at home.

All I need to know is what you’re bringing so there’s only 1 of that feature. Please don’t haul something that’s cumbersome. Not that this is what needs to be brought, here’s ideas to get your creative juices going…
