This has provided our COWGIRLS with great information and examples in the Stock Horse show pen. Come out and support your fellow COWGIRLS as they show off their skills and horsemanship!
As with any competition, interest grows and our COWGIRLS are honing their skills. Come out and cheer on our fellow COWGIRLS or participate in this great Association. Join us for a fun filled weekend. Mustang trainers have been formally selected and invited to compete in the exclusive Mustang Magic weekend during the legendary Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo, January 18-20, 2024!
Mustangs will travel from Idaho to Fort Worth, Texas to be matched with their trainers on Friday, September 8th at 11 a.m. during The Fort Worth Mustang Show at the cattle pens on the south side of the John Justin Arena.
Mustang trainers will return January 18 to the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo Mustang Magic to exhibit their gentled mustang. The Top 10 highest scoring trainer and mustang pairs will move forward to the Saturday night’s Mustang Magic Top 10 Freestyle Finals, where they will show off their partnership for a chance to become the 2024 FWSSR Mustang Magic Champion! Adoption/Auction will immediately follow naming of the FWSSR Mustang Magic Champion
Come join us at Queen Candace’s for some fun games! We will switch it up from time to time on what games we are playing, but it will always be a great time. Bring a snack to share, Punch and water will be provided.
January – BackFire – If you don’t know how to play, we will teach you. It is really pretty easy, and fun!!
The cowgirls are headed North to Lubbock for the Wooly Winter Open Show at Texas Tech Equestrian Center. The shows starts with Halter at 8:00, and will likely last until 5:00 p.m. or later, ending with Ranch classes. Check out the following URL for more information:

Join in the fun of instructed painting of your own “Gnome”. The $35 ticket includes: 2.5 hours of painting, a 16×20 stretched canvas to take home, your own easel to your on, paint, brushes, and aprons. Also included will help from the art instructor so you can go home loving your new art piece. Don’t forget get some great music. Food and drinks available at your own expense.

The lodge opens at 6:00 to claim your seats for Bingo. Bingo starts at 6:30- you DO NOT have to be a lodge member to play Bingo.

The cost is $20 for 7 games of 9 cards each for straight Bingo.
During the break, they will run a 50/50 and do Queen of Hearts. Everyone can play the 50/50 but only members can play the Queen of Hearts.
You must play all first 7 games to play the Blackout at the end. The cost to play Blackout is $5 for 12 cards.

Cowgirl Jennie Vayo is setting up an opportunity for you to participate in a Night Ride Obstacle Clinic at Legacy Ranch in Lone Oak. This Clinic will be offered by Hunt County Sheriff’s Posse, under the direction of David and Terry Rogers. It is limited to ten (10) riders, so sign-up quickly. If weather is prohibitive, it will be rescheduled. Come on out… new opportunity, new experience!!

This is a benefit for Carly and Ben Hautala. Cade pass away on January 21, 2024. We will do a Silent Auction, Dollar Raffles and a food truck. We will begin playing Xtreme Music Bingo starting at 7 PM. Cost of the boards are $10.00 for your 1st and $5.00 for any additional boards per category. Categories will be determined soon. Come join us for some really fun obstacle practice on Friday and then enter the fun jackpot on Saturday. There will be divisions depending on number entered to spread the winnings to all levels of horses and riders! We’ll have an in-hand and a riding class! Practice is from 6-10 Friday, come and go as you can. It’ll be open group practice to work on whatever you need. We will have approximately 20 obstacles to work on. Bring your babies, bring your seasoned horses. Practice in hand or mounted! We’ll be there to help you and your horse along! It’s going to be a GREAT time!!
Since we are all trying to save some $$s for one reason or another, Maria and Whispering Oaks Farm & Ranch have offered to Host a barn “Watch Party” for The American Performance Horseman. (The Globe Life tickets with any decent view are high, and their refreshments are as well.) This competition will be aired by Fox Sports 1, so check your local listings.
The greats will be in class competitions, including but not limited to, Casey Deary, Cade McCutcheon, Sarah Dawson, Andrea Fappani, Corey Cushing and Jason Vanlandingham!! There are 5 designated Teams of 3 each competing, so this will take a while. In the meantime, so much fun to be had!! Contact Maria or me for details. This will be our second obstacle play day at Kim’s house. If you didn’t come the first time, you missed out on a good time. Kim has an unbelieve obstacle course set up at her home and changes it up on a weekly basis. This course will be a St. Patty’s Day Theme. It’s $40 per person and you need to bring a side dish to go with Taco Soup for our potluck lunch!
Join the cowgirls and area law enforcement agencies for a night of bingo, games, raffles and fun, honoring Fallen Officer Nevada Krinkee. This is a fundraiser for this young officer’s family. Bingo cards are $10 each. Event will be on Thursday, March 21, 2024. Doors open at 6 pm. Please see flyer for further details.
