Dallas, GA – North Atlanta Obstacle Challenge 2019 Series @ North Atlanta Equestrian

The North Atlanta Obstacle Challenge Series consists of 10 to 15 obstacles such as water, side-pass, tarps, noodles, bridges, back through, dragging and other interesting obstacles. Horses will be scored on how well they negotiate each one.

Divisions: Warm-up, In-hand, Youth, Novice, Intermediate and Open. In-hand has 4 divisions: Youth, Novice, Intermediate and Open. Year-end buckles given in In-hand Youth, Novice, Intermediate and Open. The Mustang Heritage Foundation has donated a buckle to the year-end high point BLM mustang.

​Payback given in Open under saddle if over 5 entries.

*New this year* $100 added to Open payback class.

Multiple judges may allow several horses to be on course at one time. Prizes & ribbons in all divisions! Warm-up will not be judged. Open to all horses, mules, and riders. Helmets required on all riders in the youth division. Warm-up classes may be done all day (in between any classes).

Join us for a fun weekend of ETS competition hosted by the 40Something Cowgirls, Columbia Basin Chapter!

Event Details

Offering In-Hand & Mounted Obstacle Challenges each day.

You can look forward to challenging and fun obstacles on an established trail course as well as in the arena.  Warm up in the full-size arena.

The Terrain

Excellent dirt footing in all arenas, Trail course is dirt with wood chips some light gravel in areas.

Meals

Lunch on your own.

Join us for a fun potluck on Saturday night. Please bring a dish to share.

Awards

Beautiful ribbons 1st-6th place Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced! 1st-3rd place Junior (age 13-17), 1st-3rd place Youngin’ (age 7-12), and 1st place Newcomer!

Additional Fees

Dry camping as well as RV hook ups available. See registration to reserve.

If not renting a stall there is a $5.00/per horse Haul in fee for non Franklin County Saddle Club Members payable at the event.

Shavings are required for stalls and will be available for sale at the event in case you forget yours.

Join us on Sunday, September 29th, for our last obstacle challenge of 2019!

Classes include In Hand and Under Saddle in beginner, intermediate, and open divisions. We will also have a Dynamic Duo class at each event if time allows. Find a buddy and test your partnership on the obstacles!
Group warm-up time will be offered before the first class begins. The will be an In Hand warm-up only (no riding permitted). If you would like to ride the basic course before the obstacle challenge, we will be offering one or two play days this winter/spring (weather permitting). The basic course is also available for practice on weekends by appointment.
Obstacle challenge fees:
Warm-up: $15
Cost for one class is $30. If you register for two or more classes the cost is $25 each. Prepay through Venmo to be entered into a drawing for free entry to one of our play days.
Gates open for registration at 9:00 AM. First class starts right after the warm-up and walk through. We will have two judges on the course to allow us to move everyone through more quickly.
