Enjoy an evening of painting a “Highland Cow”. There are two nights available Wednesday April 3rd or Thursday April 5th, your choice.
Painting starts at 6pm and runs until 8:30pm.
The $35 class fee includes: 2.5 hours of painting with an instructor, 16 x 20 stretched canvas that you get to take home, your own easel to work on, all the paint and brushes needed, along with an apron. Don’t worry they have stencils and the instructor is available to help as well. Don’t forget to bring some extra cash for drinks and food.

We all know that a good breakfast gets you energized for a long haul road trip! Park your truck & trailer at Bucee’s next door (they have HUGE parking lot) and come have your favorite Whataburger breakfast with us!
IT’S THAT TIME AGAIN!!!!
We are so excited to head out for our retreat at Train Robber Ranch for the 3rd year in a row!! Wonderful time had for all!
Once we get closer to the date we will figure out a place to meet and caravan for those who want to. Otherwise, we will meet you all down there.
This is a private retreat with limited spots available so let us know if you are interested in joining us. We will be leaving on Thursday, April 11th to head down there and coming back on that Sunday. The cost will be divided between everyone who signs up to go.
We always plan meals for dinner so that everyone can pitch in and bring something. We will plan this as we get closer as well.

This is a focused Clinic for “Building Confidence Through Better Horsemanship”! Nathan Wells will work you through some ground time and saddle time. Requirements for this Clinic participation is the ability to walk, trot, and lope your horse. His training will be improvements in horsemanship within each gate. This will help the confidence of beginners as well as experienced rider!! Limited space for six (6) riders. Audit is $20 per person. $5 per event-$20 one time series fee-One horse per rider to be enrolled in the series, multiple horses allowed in the daily awards.

Wylie Chapter is having a captain’s meeting for the teams that are participating in the Wylie Chapter Cowgirl Challenge.
**Horses are not needed for this meeting**
Come join us for a fun filled evening of fellowship with a bunch of cowgirls and hear about all the fun events coming up and even help us plan more! We are always open to suggestions for events.
We will also have a raffle for a prize give away. You won’t want to miss out on that because we give away some great prizes! Raffle tickets are 1 for $5 or 5 for $20. No worries if you don’t have cash on you, we have Zelle. If you would like to earn a free ticket with the purchase of your other tickets bring a guest or bring a spring flower so we can make a bouquet and give it to the generous winery owners.

Come out and support the up and coming rodeo athletes of Wyoming as they compete for a spot on the state team and attend the national rodeo later this summer. Rodeo action will start on Friday April 19th at 9am with the athletes of the Junior High division. The High School events will be on Saturday & Sunday, April 20 & 21. Saturday evening will also feature a rough stock performance.
All events will take place at the indoor arena at the events complex.
Come on out and share the covered arena for a morning of peaceful, comfortable, riding and training!! We will be here to help and assist, or just travel the trails in the dirt!! If you need assistance, do not hesitate to ask. Casual fun day… bring your preferred drinks and snacks for fellowship after riding!! As with any competition, interest grows and our COWGIRLS are honing their skills. Come out and cheer on our fellow COWGIRLS or participate in this great Association. Join us for a fun filled weekend. Pick your events and competition level and show off what your skills. Monthly clinics are held the Friday before the Show weekend, so make sure you attend to learn what the judges are looking for at that weekend show.

The Cabin Fever Run is produced by Genesis Parker & Megan Matsuura, two members of the Green River Chapter of 40 Something Cowgirls. The barrel races produced by thee two ladies are always well run, fun, family friendly, and a great time.
This race has $2000 added and is a 90% payback.

RUN FOR THE ROSES Kentucky Derby party. Saturday, May 4th at 2:30.
This year is the 150th anniversary of the Derby and we’re going to celebrate with traditional big fancy hats and mint julips. The big race is at 5:45 but come early to watch the prelim races.
DON’T FORGET……MAKE THOSE HATS BIG AND SHOW THEM OFF AT THE PARTY!
This is a grown-up event. No young kids or pets please. Feel free to bring an appetizer if you’re inclined, or your favorite beverage.

Please join us for our FIRST ANNUAL 40 SOMETHING COWGIRL CHALLENGE! We will be partnering with Bar Double G Quarter Horses in producing this event!
** NEGATIVE COGGINS REQUIRED**
Starting with approximately 15 (4-rider) teams.
**Cost will be $100 per rider/ $400 per team of 4 cowgirls (pay fees by cash/ check/ cash app/ venmo/ zelle/ paypal/ or credit card**
Limited stalls/ pens & RV spots available (FEES ARE NOT INCLUDED IN ENTRY FEE). Primitive camping available.

Check in will be Friday, May 17th starting at 6:00pm.

Jim welcomes both western & english riders. Whether your horse is under saddle or still in the ground work stages of training, Jim is very well versatile and knowledgeable.
Come prepared to answer the question, “What do you want to learn/work on?” Jim wants to help you with your goals and that is why he does one hour one-on-one sessions.
A one hour session with your horse is $160.
If you chose not to bring a horse there is a $25 per day audit fee. Clinic participants are welcome to audit all riders sessions at no additional charge.
Sessions start at 9am and go until 5pm, with a one hour lunch break from noon to 1pm.
Participants must prepay in advance to reserve their spot.
Green River 40 Something Cowgirl, Kari Moneyhun, has teamed up with Sara Lowe of Sagebrush Training to offer a two-day confidence clinic focusing on ranch and trail obstacles. These clinic are fun, encouraging, and full of laughter. Sagebrush Sara works on building each rider up and strengthening your relationship with your horse.
Cost is $400 for the two day clinic. Current 40 Something Cowgirl members get a 10% discount!
