Gates open at 6pm and rodeo action kicks off at 7pm.
Enjoy rodeo action at the professional level at the Red Desert Roundup PRCA Rodeo.

Pre Show events may vary but they usually have mutton busting, teen cash scramble, and the adult cash scramble.

Come out and support the up and coming rodeo athletes of Wyoming as they compete for a spot on the state team and attend the national rodeo later this summer. Rodeo action will start on Friday April 19th at 9am with the athletes of the Junior High division. The High School events will be on Saturday & Sunday, April 20 & 21. Saturday evening will also feature a rough stock performance.
All events will take place at the indoor arena at the events complex.
Join our cowgirls at the Western Heritage Classic full of all kinds of entertainment! Food, rodeo, matched races, cook-offs, music and (my favorite) shopping!!!

May 10 -11th – Bar W Rodeo Company – Sponsored by the Macon County FFA Chapter – Two Full Nights of championship rodeo with bull riding, barrel racing, breakaway, broncos, and much more. The Macon County Horse Association is opening their concession stand for amazing pulled porked sandwiches and platters. Bar W Rodeo is a local odeo company nestled right here in our Western Carolina Mountains. We hope everyone comes out to see amazing action and help raise funds for our local FFA and Horse Association
Obstacle Play Day at Judi Vogt’s farm located at 105 Tibor Drive, Kings Mountain, NC. Drive all the way to the end of the black top road. You will go through an open iron gate and see the arena, barn and parking on your left.
This event is from 11:00 – 2:00 and is no charge but donations are appreciated for our charity for 2024.
Obstacle play days are a great time to expose your horse and maybe you, to things you’ve not experienced. You will go at your own pace and ask for help from your peers at anytime. We are all happy to help!
We have had a great turnout in the past for play days, so to ensure we have enough parking for everyone, try to carpool if possible. Also, RSVP on the event, as we will keep a list of attendees and may have to limit our numbers.

Carolina Rawhide Riders is hosting their first Obstacle Play Day of 2024.
Let’s go experience obstacles you don’t get to play on every day. Outdoor Obstacle Course, Indoor Arena, and Trails.
Cost: $40 per horse and Rider, $10 additional per every added horse. (Half Off to those that attend the Hames Horsemanship Obstacle Clinic on June 8th).
Negative Coggins Required.

Registration: Early entry, by Friday before event – $50 per entry, per horse – Adult Division
Late entry, day of event – $60 per entry, per horse – Adult Division
Early entry, By Friday before event – $40 per entry, per horse – Youth Division
Late entry, day of event – $50 per entry, per horse – Youth Division
Walk Through of Course: 8:30 am (on foot, no horses allowed)
Competition starts: 9 am
One Overall Champion of the Year will be awarded Grand Champion Buckle EYO Buckle to Champion in all classes.
PLEASE NOTE: If you have a youth riding through the course, that same horse can not be used again in the adult part of competition. Some of the obstacles will be the same and that would give the adult rider a potential unfair advantage.

Youth: 13 – 17
Peewee: 12 & under
In-Hand Class
This event is open to Horses both domestic & BLM, Mules, and burros

Come out and support all the contestants vying for a national title at the super bowl of High School rodeo. Contestants will be from across the United States, 5 Canadian Provinces, Australia, Mexico, & New Zealand. The rodeo will showcase rodeo athletes as they compete for national titles as well as scholarship over $375,00.
Along with the rodeo action there will be a trade show and food vendors.

Come challenge your horse to a large variety of outdoor and indoor obstacles! The cost is $40 per horse and rider, $10 for each additional horse. Richard Hames, trainer, will be available to to help you navigate as needed.

Join us to watch the thrills of a Professional Rodeo presented World Champions Rodeo Alliance at Tryon International Center. Events featured will include Bronc and Bull Riding, Steer Wrestling and Roping as well as Barrel Racing. Event starts at 7:30 and tickets (according to their website) will be going on sale soon. Halloween Trail Obstacle Play Day – Ridets and horses are encouraged to dress up in costumes and compete in a costume contest, practice & compete on my mountain trail obstacle course. Teams will have to participate in maneuvering through the obstacles cool, calm & collected.
$10 donation to participate and money goes into our cowgirls fund
